Mercnbeth -> Presidential Candidate Questionnaire (12/12/2007 12:08:53 PM)

At gun point, I don't think I would be able to give unqualified support to any of the current cesspool, I mean pool, of choices. Someone having the same problem sent me this link today.

Although I don't  agree with their findings of who I should support - Rudy Giuliani; I do agree with who they said I'd support the least - Chris Dodd. I was surprised that Senator Clinton was only 3 from the bottom.

Check it out: http://www.wqad.com:80/Global/link.asp?L=259460

Edited to add: The interesting part was that my highest score was '26' for Mr. Giuliani down to '12 for Mr. Dodd. More evidence that there isn't that much difference and none of these people represent my political philosophy.

Ugh, kill me.

My top six results were democrats: Dodd, Obama, Clinton, Biden, Kucinich, then Edwards.

And here I am, a committed Libertarian.  (sob.)

Honestly haven't given Richardson an ounce of thought - But the other three are right on the money. Very accurate.

Mercnbeth -> Obama / Huckabee Questionnaire (1/4/2008 7:07:34 AM)

Lets say the Iowa primary meant as much as the media coverage portrayed. This is still the original questionnaire but projecting a Obama v. Huckabee Presidential election who is your choice?

Hucabee has only one issue on the plus side as far as I'm concerned; the elimination of the IRS and implementation of the 'Fair Tax'. However even if he got elected my a landslide mandate on that issue, it will never happen. The legal industry and the accountant lobby would never let that happen. Considering the majority of the members of Congress are lawyers, supports that dismantling the tax system is a pipe dream.

Obama has neither the experience nor the political power base to effect any change but just may have the charisma an personal integrity to turn that around. The worst case would be another President Carter type regime. But to me it's worth a shot, as of today...
My vote - Obama.
