it's also the same for regular mail as well and not just the wounded soldiers. Letters mailed overseas (to Iraq, etc) that are addressed to "any soldier" are also thrown away. I work for numerous organizations supporting the troops (since I am an army wife) and I see lots of mail returned or thrown aside b/c it is *un-named*
