When I first joined this site I was nervous. I had joined some others that when it came down to it were really nothing more then glorified dating/sex sites. It was hard to distinguish who wanted to just help and be a friend and who was trying to sweet talk you into sex sometimes. CollarMe was like a breathe of fresh air. I mine you still meet people and get offers for furthering relations but it's not so overwhelming. CollarMe doesn't have that sexsite feel to me, and I've learned so much here. The most important lesson, and one I remember LA had posted in, was learning about "sub frenzy". That lesson helped me alot and still does to this day.

Never felt much either way..I slid in quietly, read a lot, responded a little and slowly but surely increased my input. For the most part I respond to subjects that are more humanistic in nature as opposed to BDSM-D/s except for giving my opinion on something coming from common sense or my own personal ideaology, .. I am, as I see it, the wall flower in a room full of dynamic personalities and am easily overlooked. But nonetheless,on occasion, I have felt the slap down, and other occasions ,where what I posted, reasonated within someone as well...It all balanced out in the end to me...It does not have to be a bar in Boston, where everyone knows your name..:0)...Tempting

It amazes me how much information is just laying around here. I always try to listen to what is being said; there is always something informative, even if you have to sift through a little snark.

I guess what I find not disconcerting, but more odd (like when you mismatch a paring of foot and shoe, slightly off) is that my admittedly pathetic profile here has actually caused several Dommes (Dominas? Dominants? Cherished Ones? I'm still working on what's a proper "generic" appelation for Female Dominants.) to write to me.

Hello wistfulmale,
I've peeked at your add, and to Me it sounds sincere. And genuine to say that you don't know what you seek, unless someone showed you the way. you arent alone in this, to start is always difficult. you can always write to Me, with questions and I would be happy to talk to you about them or in this forum.

Bdsm is about communication. So feel free alright

B safe.

Hello petpete,

nice to read you here lilbrat you
I was just curious, I've been around for a while, and I was thinking about the chat really, but I've noticed that there are a few streams here floating around.

The once on chat only, the once on forum only, the once which do both.
I've spoken to loads of newbies in chat, and often hear that some Dominants don't want to have anything to do with them, because they are new.

How else do they learn? I'm always happy to tell them what I know.

So that's why I thought to ask petpete

One can never have enough friends !!
Have a great weekend.
Warm Greetingz

It took me almost a year of being on here before I actually dared to post.

This is so interesting, because I understand where you're coming from trappedinamuseum, so was there anything which could have been done
to make you interact sooner? Maybe that can help other new people , who
do have a problem with interacting in this scene. Thank you for your openness
And I do wish you a great weekend.

I felt wonderfully welcome here. It was one of the very first online communities I looked at, and the first that I felt okay joining after reading the forums for a while.
Sure, I got the occasional twue sub telling me how to live and twue Doms telling me how to kneel, but if anything that just thickened my skin enough to help me dive deeper and learn more.

i liked it, this may sound weird but what brought me here was trying to find a forum that did not hurt my eyes....black backrounds, purple fonts, tiny text, it was giving me a headache.

Hello crouchingtigress,
I so can relate to your comment. I get a headacke too when the colorsetting sux, or the fond is too small to read. So great you enjoy that here

i would love to see a room for transfolk. i am not trans, but many of my freinds are and i feel there is sort of a stigma that could be addressed with greater understanding..in the same way that having the gorean room has brought folks to understand and accept that part of our community a little more.

I understand your question, but I think they should open a chatroom themselves.
I opened a room #DungeonT` , because My nick ends with a T`, and I got all the Ts,Tv in My rooms, as they thought I was a Ts, grinz.

It's short of GoddezzTeaze, and I'm very female. And it's not My interest, but they could do it themselves hon

I wish you goodluck.

Greetings GoddezzT.. Its always nice to have Your presence around all of us subs, and i truly would wish all the Dommes where as approachable as Your Grace is. Unfortunately like all of us i would assume the Ladies have there own issues and maybe a big margin of them may be quite frustrated with some of our conduct.. i hope You are well and i thank You for Your concern about the reception that some of us can receive..
