byknkf,  I am not sure, but 16 & 40+ might be illegal in many places. And while I am sure you are a lovely person, I just wouldn't be interested in someone that much younger than me. I am not being mean to you at all, but I would most certainly raise an eyebrow with that 1st guy.

TorturerOfTeens -> RE: Daddy Dom's (12/6/2007 11:59:59 AM)

It's certainly not illegal in the UK as 16 is the legal age of consent.  It may be frowned upon and any parent wouldn't be criticised for being concerned that their 16 year old son or daughter is seeing a man or woman in their 40's especially if the basis of the sexual relationship was bondage and BDSM.

Let's not forget that at one time a 16 year old girl was allowed to pose in penthouse and page 3 as long as the parents had signed a parental release form.

I think you'll find many people will wait for someone to be at least 18 and legally an adult though as it's safest for all and avoids the ensuing stigmas.

Since 2 months now i too have a Daddy Dom, altho i don't call Him Daddy, but i just prefer to have an older Dom, i can't show real big respect to a Dom who is my own age..

Similar here in Canada where the age for heterosexual consent is 14 (and if I remember correctly female same-sex consent is 16, male same-sex consent is 18) although the government is currently investigating raising the base age to 16.

breathasone, I am just guessing, but I think he was referring to your tagline/signature. I am also guessing it was meant to be humorous.

I never thought it had anything with pedophilia tendencies, but it's not my thing. I always thought it seemed pretty popular though.

DarkDaddyZ -> RE: Daddy Dom's (12/6/2007 3:10:22 PM)

The term Daddy Dom has many meanings. As chelle said many gay men that are head of their household consider themselves Daddies or Papas (even community heads can be known as this as was the case in Atlanta with Master Doug H, affectionately known as Papa to those who know him). There are hets that also use the term Daddy for head of their household and there are some who use the term for age play.

There are also leather womyn who identify as Daddi, Dyke Daddy or Daddy.

The different definitions may squeak some. There may be a meaning for one that's not the same for others.

Why????  females are allowed legally able to go topless if they so desire, gay marriage is legal including naming other for pension benefits, and other employee benefits and division of property when divorcing is  legally the same as any other married couple,  gay partners can adopt children,  abortions here are legal, a child of 12  can decide their own health care  without parental consent(which I don't agree with, because getting counselling or psychiatrict help  for a problem child is difficult, but parents still liable for the childs actions even when the child refuses help, which then forces the parent to appeal to the courts to make it part of a condition of probation when the child /teen gets into legal trouble ) ,  whatever 2 consenting adult do in the privacy of their bedroom is legal and government has no business interfering, which makes BDSM  quite legal  (thank you Pierre Trudeau for that one).    It is illegal for companies to fire or discriminate against  a person based on their sexual preferences.

DarkDaddyZ....Master Doug was a wonderful man and a blessing to the community. I did enjoy my times at the Sanctuary. Papa will be missed.

as far as i am aware a 14 year old can consent to anyone under the age of 18. Anyone over 18 can go to jail for statutory rape.

While it is legal to not wear a shirt, it is illegal to do so anywhere there are moving vehichles ... doing so will cause you to be charged with a stunting ticket.

Wow...ok, go look up your local gay Leather club. Then come back and tell me if you found any Daddies.

DeviantMasteruk -> RE: Daddy Dom's (12/7/2007 3:51:04 AM)

First of let me say im a straight male Dom from the UK, and was fairly active in the local community here before moving to the USA. When i first got involved here in the UK i was what i would call a traditional Master. But i have lived in the USA for the last 7 years, and was fairly active in my local community there too and discovered as i got older, the role of  Daddy Dom became more and more appealling. Until i finally realised that basically that was what i am without actually using the name.

Being a Daddy doesn't mean i have a thing for young girls,  all my baby girls have been over 25.   The thing that prompted the question was when i relocated back to the UK my ad included the words Daddy Dom, and you wouldnt believe some of the messages i got. Anything from being called a pervert (not a bad thing in my book...lol) To a child molester, and nothing could be further from the truth. I seemed to spend more time trying to explain what a Daddy Dom was to overcome the negative image than i did actually talking about the more interesting things.

So at the end of the day i just decided it was simpler to just remove Daddy Dom from my ad. and its amazing the diffrence its made. The thing that really makes me laugh is how many  female subs in the UK are actually looking for a Daddy Dom and dont realise that what they are looking for actually has a name.
