You must have read my mind - I was about to mention this one (the original, that is - the remake was a pale imitation in my opinion) 

Others that I love are Nighmare Before Christmas, Gremlins, and Die Hard.

I also have a soft spot for watching movies like The Towering Inferno and The Poseidon Adventure at Christmas because when I was younger we always used to sit as a family over Xmas and watch movies like these
