Just interested in what items E/everyone uses to play at home, outside of what you can purchase from an erotic boutique or website.

Do Y/you make any of your own toys? Or perhaps use regular household items in a unique way?

Inquiring minds, aka mine :o), would like to know!

not at all unique way (out here) but ginger root, ginger powder, alum, oil of cloves, vacuum cleaner, dowels, clothespins, breath strips, toothpaste, mouthwash, alcohol. vaseline, candles, belts, spatulas, back scratchers, butterfly hair clips....endless, really; what the mind can conceive and believe the mind can achieve.

OK cutie, I just checked your profile. Ha, funny you should mention "happy holidays", now I will proceed to blow your mind with something I did twenty years ago.

Consider this, when you open a Christmas gift, do you break the ribbon ?

That stuff it strong !, probably strong enough to hang you with. Ever tie someone up with ribbon, like say ¾" wide ? I have. Because it is flat, once you tie a knot it is very hard to untie. It can be done but it takes time. But then if you tie someone in certain ways, it takes forever.

Nice wide ribbons, the stress point is at the knot, the rest can lay flat on the wrists and ankles, there should be no marks. The knot is there of course but is pulled away when stressed. And the shit will not break.

Just friends eh ? Just wait till I get you to the auto parts store. Zip ties, gas tank strapping, hose clamps. All can be your's, but I'll take care of any tools thank you.

If you get a gift this Chrismas with a wide ribbon on it, I dare you to tie yourself up with it. Warning : do not make it so that you can not get to a knife, as I told you, this shit will not break.

Your response makes me think that's a better way to let this thread unfold... Perhaps people can tell of their favorite way to use the "unorthodox" items. The lists are good, but the way they are being used is much more fun to read!

His favorite are kitchen shops. Wooden spoons and spatulas to hit with. Wooden skewers to poke or scratch. Some people hit with those slotted metal spatulas, you've got to take a lot more pain than I can. Rolling pins wallop hard. Corn holders, little things with four short sharp points. Knives to cut off clothing. Rubber bands and chopsticks, an oldie that.

My alltime favorite everyday item is a wooden paddle hairbrush.

I am always in search of the perfect bag of clothespins. Wooden ones are too much for me, so I am always looking for ones that have a little less tension.

Everyone else has mentioned household items...my favorite place to shop for everyday items to use is either the fabric/craft store or Big Lots.

Oh yeah a snake bite kit works good for the nipples as well as those lil Bamboo skeweres used for shishkabobs they mark very nicely

yeah, i haven't quite found the perfect clothespins yet either... they all just seem to be a bit too much... i've found though that i can put rubberbands on the opposite ends to adjust how tight they'll close. Not the prettiest thing, but gets the job done!

My most recent favorite find is a bamboo knitting needle, good for scratching and poking . . . and it gives a good sting when used to hit. It left some pretty good welts on me anyway.

have you tried the plastic ones? have you tried the butterfly hair clips? the wooden ones can be stretched and adjusted or you can be trained to suck it up.....

i made my Master some great switches from my shrubs this autumn when i did the pruning for winter. They sting like crazy, leave bright red welts that turn into lovely black bruises and the sound they make through the air *sighs*...... also love clothes pegs (they must be different in UK) i have two different kinds one set are the old fashioned wooden ones (yummmmmmy!!!) and the others are plastic rubbery type ones (from Lakeland if anyone from the UK wants to know!)
My Master makes me wear a sleepmask from an airline as a blindfold, which works really well and was also totally free (unless you count the airfare of course.....)

Ugh, do you mean those little hairclips in the shape of a butterfly with the nasty little teeth? I have a whole jar of those somewhere.

(note to self: hide butterfly hairclips or hubby will have another horrible bag of tricks...)

oooooooooh, you are bad! Do you have pretty pastel colored ones, or all black?

I think clip on earrings can be used quite nicely. They give a gentle squeeze, can be worn for a long time, and they aren't hell. I gotta say that I HATE it when the clover clamps come out!
