Status: offline 		I have noticed a lot of tough talk among so called civil libertarians.  Have any of you spent time in jail?  I doubt it.

Interesting.  I have checked several definitions of "civil libertarian" and you know what?  NOT ONE of them mentioned jail time. 

I wonder why you think that it is a requirement?

Or what the correlation is.

Yes, about 3 times in the daft, young years.....I went as far as feigning asthma the second time in a futile attempt to get out early.....that's innovation for you, fuck the solicitors and the like, I CAN'T BREATHE, LET ME OUT!!! The police had zero concern for my situation, "Son, go to fuckin' sleep you utter cock".

Status: offline 		I’m trying to read between the line to understand what this is all about but it is blank between the lines. Why give people false hope by telling them you can read between the lines when there is clearly no text there to be found.
 
Furthermore I’ll have you all know that to empathise with people in jail I once fucked someone up the arse.

No, didn't spend the night in jail. Since there were over a thousand protestors, they just took names and threw us back out.

One of my sister's school friend's older brother died for his defense of civil liberty. His name was Andrew Goodman.

Status: offline 		What is this post about? Are you talking about the individuals who put their lives in danger in the public's eye in order to rally and protest injustices? Many of these people are treated wrongly by the police. And man of them are even protesting lawforce mistreatment to begin with.

Are you talking about those who take a safer route and petition the government and schedule meetings with senatorial and congressional staff?

How about, before you try to stiffle the biggest liberty we are given in this country - the freedom to petition and peaceful protest of our government - you gather some facts and actually pose an argument.

Oh, and that freedom I just mentioned ... it's part of the First Amendment's free speech clause. So while you do have the right to voice your opinion on these people's actions. They have the right to be there and practice those actions.

arrested yes with my youngest UM - jailed no when the Iraq "war" protests were hot back then.
