I just wanted to take this opportunity to say goodbye to my spoiled pet.

Even though we were mismatched in the D/s world, there were times we played very well together.

Everyone who knew us personally never understood why we were together, but the experience was one we both needed and now maybe the two of us have a better understanding of what we need in the future.

I’ll miss having someone next to me to bite at my leisure, but wolf, I wish you well in your new life.

I'm sorry this didn't work out for you, but I am glad that you got the good out of the relationship.  Best of luck to you both!

Thank you to all.  Sometimes parting is just a piece of life.  It is bittersweet, even when necessary.

So sorry it didnt work out, but at least you both are on good terms still and see it as still taking some good things from having had the experiance. ( so many forget that )

Good luck to you both.

And wouldn't it be wonderful if all our relationships could end on such mutual terms?

I think it's very true we can learn from everyone we ever play with, have sex with, or even talk to if we are open to it. A great philosophy, PsyVamp.

Thanks Gwyn and TammyJo.

He will be moving across country the end of next weekend and the two of us are trying to make this as easy as possible.
No matter how much it doesn't work, its a challenge saying goodbye to someone I'm used to having around.  With any luck, we'll use this last week to create a lasting friendship.

Greetings Psy... i can understand Your feelings even tho i am from the other side of the whip.. i parted with my Mistress a few months ago with my choice of which i feel very bad about it but i did try hard to make things happen. i still want to know that She is fine and well and getting what She is after... Even if i feel i let Her down... i do feel very bad at times but the circumstances of distance and my folks here at home did not allow me to relocate to Her. It is not easy for both parties to deal with especially from the submissives side that feels can feel being attached and comfortable with his owner and after months of getting to be accustomed to Her ways. Take care and good luck with Your future

I hesitate to go there, but...

Why say goodbye here?

I think this is highly inappropriate - it really just concerns the two of you.

I disagree I think its very appropriate... More people should be this mature in their relationships.  Good luck to you both.. maybe others who read this will learn

At a time of loss and despair TotalState people would like to talk to others who can understand Her.

Respect to you for sharing to the world your acknowledgement of your valued sub and the relationship you shared. Some one once wrote " parting is such sweet sorry " I say, l don't care who you are Dom, Domme, bittersweet emotions flow through you at a time of parting.

I am sure your sub will move on proud to have been part of your life and all that he learnt. The circle of life continues and the future will benefit from all that both of you brought to that union

I also agree is it highly appropriate, very few will find a good D/s match on their first tries in fact most will fail, but it should not have to end in bitterness/anger , if the relationship started of on the right foot with  honesty, trust, respect and care from both parties,  most  should end much like wolf and Lady Jags relationship leaving a close friendship with the honesty, trust, respect and caring still intact, if they do  not, then  we should taking a step back and trying to learn from as to why

Learning/understanding   how a relationship should end is just is as important as learning how one should begin, or how it continues day to day.

Community support should  not end  after the search or when problem day to day problems arise  but carry right thru to the end  whether the relation ends  in success, failure or even death of one partner.

I am sorry that your relationship with wolf did not work out, though from your words I am sure both of you gained something from your involvement together,  though there is pain involved it will also be a source of fond memories  for years to come that each of you will cherish.... as it should be.  and thank you for sharing.

As a long-time reader/lurker on the boards here, I have to disagree. There's always so much talk about how important communication is in any relationship, especially D/s ones, and I for one think it's great to see such a good example of how communicating with each other *should* work.

Thank you for sharing, PsyVamp, and best of luck to you both!

i too am a lurker, and i must say reading your post brought back the memories of being dismissed from Master.  the pain is real and intense on both sides.  i never, for one day, stopped missing or loving Him.  i was on my own for 6 months, and took with me, from Him, the need to grow and learn, which i did, working very hard.  i am very happy to say, He still owns my heart, and He is now, allowing me back in His life to serve Him and continue to learn and grow,  and this time, with Him, for Him.
i pray you both find your way to the one who will finally bind your hearts together. i have been blessed and not one day, do i forget, how important Master is to me, i will not lose Him again.
well wishes to you both..

Thank you, petPete, for your support and I am sorry to hear of your loss also.  It is difficult, sometimes, no matter who has to make the final decision.

Dddyandlittlegirl, thank you.

divi, xAdamx, Maya2001, laforet, thank you all for the support.

I started this thread mainly because I wanted my pet and others to know that just because things do not work out the way we'd like, its not a disaster.  My pet was not a mistake although he and I made mistakes throughout our D/s relationship.  These mistakes have helped me understand myself on a different level, I now have a much better understanding of who I am and what I need in life.
I wanted to acknowledge him, let him know that he was an important part of my life and that some good does "rise out of the ashes"; that his memory won't be tossed aside and forgotten even though we will both go on with our respective lives separately.
By writing this before he has actually left, it serves as a reminder to me that even when things get strained as his preparation to leave this week adds stress to us, this parting is amicable, mutual and for the best interest of the two of us.

If others are helped along the way, then it serves a dual purpose.  If it only makes him able to smile later, then it is good enough for me.

LJ (Psy)
