A student artist who placed a fake bomb that forced an AIDS charity to cancel part of a black-tie fundraiser at the Royal Ontario Museum has been charged by police.
Thorarinn Ingi Jonsson, 24, who said the item was a "sculpture," faces nuisance and mischief charges. He turned himself in to police last night.

this quote proves he knew he was doing something that may cause consequences that people could be held responsible for, therefore he must be held accountable for the outcome of his action. The ourcome is the loss of estimated 100,000 dollars. this action may have also resulted in emotional truma to those that had to evacuate the museum.
I feel it is inniproperate for someone to place a "sculpture" which was made to look like a bomb then made a call to report there is Not a bomb in front of the musium. He obviously knew something would be done because he then had video cameras ready to capture the sceen.
he should face charges.

When I was in college in the late 80s, I had a roomate, who was a sculpture major. He had the idea of using terrorism as Art, in a very similar way. The idea being art is anything that provokes a reaction. He was however not stupid enough to actually do it. He did however set the sculpture studio on fire more than once.
