Somehow I do not find Officer Lewis very credible in his descriptions of King, if we remember the lies the other cops told when they originally beat him...

He got a 3.8 million settlement for Los Angeles... and to be honest, knowing how it is illegal to drive while black in some areas, was pretty fair in my mind

Really? Were the cops from the original beating there?  Nope. I believe they were all removed.  So it's the presence of Rodney King that makes cops corrupt....interesting....

No, not all cops are corrupt, but lets put it this way, I do not have any faith in the Los Angeles PD or what they would say about a man that showed how brutal the LAPD can be...

I had a friend that lived in LA with biracial kids, and the way her kids were targetted as teens because of the area she lived in made her move away..

Rodney King should have been killed when the cops had their chance so long ago.

I don't doubt that they may have some harsh feelings for the guy, but it's unlikely any cop that isn't going to lie already would lie because it's Rodney King.  Given what was disclosed about the man in the previous incident and the fact that he's had a huge chunk of money fall in his lap, I don't doubt he was intoxicated.

So you figure King's story of "I dunnow how this buckshot got in me" is plausible then?  Do you, personally, find it unlikely that he was drunk when it happened?

waiting to hear why Rodney King should have been killed when the cops had their chance so long ago; how sudden windfalls lead to intoxication, and verification of this statement " i don't know how this buckshot got in me" being attributed to Rodney King.

It is not against the law to be drunk and shot in your own home... I think most of us would be hard to deal with under the circumstances...Are you going to be "easy" to deal with if you are wounded and drinking? I just find it humorous how the cop had to state that, if it had been anyone else I doubt he would have

That statement just made a huge withdrawal from that "karmic bank".

I didn't say it was against the law.  I pointed out your assumption they were lying was a bit unfounded given the information we know about him.  That's all.

I looked at your profile, how is it working for you being a racist Nazi in Seattle? I can imagine it would be hard making friends
