Owner59 -> Rudy Giuliani`s 9/11 problem (11/29/2007 8:08:00 PM)

http://blogs.abcnews.com/theblotter/2007/11/giulianis-ties.html

Contracts awarded to Rudy Giuliani's private security firm in the Gulf state of Qatar were overseen by a government minister suspected of harboring the al Qaeda terrorist who planned the 9/ll attacks, Khalid Sheik Mohammed, according to security consultants in the region.

OrionTheWolf -> RE: Rudy Giuliani`s 9/11 problem (11/29/2007 11:01:28 PM)

Did Giuliani have a direct action in the event of managing that business, and selecting the government minister?

Why don't you choose to quote a FAR more telling statement from the article??? Specifically....

quote:

Since 2005, Giuliani Partners and its Giuliani Security & Safety (GS&S) unit has provided security consulting and advice in Qatar through contracts overseen by the country's Interior Ministry, which is currently run by a member of the royal family who has long been accused of supporting al Qaeda, according to security consultants familiar with the area.

Sooooo......A business that he is involved with provided consulting advice to Qatar through contracts that were overseen by a suspicious individual.

Does having a friend of a friend of a friend who is linked to illegal operations make you guilty of such involvement?  I strongly suggest you read up on certain individuals in American history.....specifically J. Edgar Hoover and Joseph. McCarthy.

Those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it.

P.S. - Hoover AND McCarthy would have been chomping at the bit to prosecute anyone who even claimed membership to CollerMe.com through the House Un-American Activities Committee and a variety of acts that were passed under the promotion of this committee.

Not just any "suspicious individual",but a planner of the 9/11 attacks.

As neo-cons like to  point out, "everything" changed, after 9/11.

Might be nothing.but as president,I would like to think that he`d have a better grasp of who he assosiates with.

His only selling point for president, is 9/11-24/7.You`d think that Mr.9/11 would have done some "racial profiling",or at least vetted his business contracts.

Owner, you are right after 911 things did change, for example your article says that Kahlid sought shelter after 911 there, but didn't get it.  Despite having gotten shelter there in 1996.  Interestingly in 1996 Clinton could have gotten Bin Laden from Sudan, but didn't for political reasons.

Lordandmaster -> RE: Rudy Giuliani`s 9/11 problem (11/30/2007 12:23:31 AM)

Giuliani's OTHER 9/11 problem is that he took credit for all kinds of shit that he didn't have anything to do with.

Rule -> RE: Rudy Giuliani`s 9/11 problem (11/30/2007 6:10:23 AM)

G. was himself an accomplice in the 911 scam.

These private security firms really concern me; how much of the force on the ground is comprised of mercenaries rather than service men and women?  A/anyone know?

If you link this to Giuliani, then you have to link the Al Gore stuff that you denied in that other thread. I don't like Giuliani, and will not be voting for him, but people need to apply the same standards to everything.

Who people associate with, even in business, reflect upon them. So my stance is that this does reflect on Giulani, just like having an interest in big oil, reflects on Al Gor.

There are other reasons to not support Giuliani. Things like this are small on the priority list, of what makes a person capable of being President. Hell this could be a possible asset for a President, depending on how it is used.

IIRC, Al Gore didn't keep having affairs, and dumping the prior wives and kids every time he upgraded girlfriends.

If Rudy can't honor his OATH TO G-D regarding his marriage vows ( remember, he's a Catholic, so it's *supposed* to be a sign of Moral Character for him... ) how can you expect him to honor his Oath of Office?

Now, everyone else sucks, too. But Rudy sucks in a very special way. ( Wearing a dress, among other pecadillos...)

Bloomberg's in the closet, but Rudy's in denial.

OrionTheWolf -> RE: Rudy Giuliani`s 9/11 problem (11/30/2007 9:11:08 AM)

All of them have their own special way. If Bill Clinton will lie, then how can you trust his wife? How can you trust someone that supports a liar? See how the same arguement can work for all of them. This is why I am researching all of them. The indepedent vote is going to have more of an impact on this election, than many others in the past. While I am more conservative leaning, I have not ruled out any Democrats, specifically because they are a Dem. The field is really narrowing for me, and it is narrowing down to most of them are just the same type of politician, in just a different flavor.
