Do any of you get up in the middle of the night to make those 4 and 5 am specials they offer on Black Friday?  If so, why (and of course, what did you get?)

I had about 20 emails this morning advertising such specials.   I got to say...It would take some really incredible sales to get me to even venture near the stores this weekend, let alone get me up that early.

-well if one doesnt they could be a threat to national security, which Thanksgiven falling on the 22nd actually EXTENDS the shopping season.

a buddy is camped out at midnight for a $350 laptop. the store has only 20 of them. someone could be fricken trappled. all for a gadget that in less then 2 years- will be obsolete and hazardous waste!

well I'm all but out the door .. headed to town to do a bit of shopping.
But it's not the Black Friday "sales" that I'm after ... it was just bad planning on my part.
Now I'm out of the essentials ... cat food ... tp ... I'm hoping if I go early ... I'll beat the after Turkey Day shopping maddness .....  *muttering about shopping in general*

Greetings MsSonnet:

If I ever get up at 5 am to go shopping, put me away some place.  I work retail, and I can tell you that the bargains are coming after Christmas.
We have some nut opening  at 4 am.
We are going shopping, but only to exchange some things that my mother got the other day that were to big. I will probably get something for myself because I shop a lot at that store.
I rarely shop any more since I work in retail. I am just thankful I do not work for the shoe stores. LOL
Have an awesome day.

Regards, MissSCD

One year about 10 years ago- I managed to flawlessly rotate all the gifts. So cologne John gace me went to Bob, wiget Bob gave me went to Sue, and so on. It was brilliant!

Then one year I got everyone the same thing. a dinnerware set.

Then one year I got everyone a gift  certificate $7.27 at chinses place.
