esmeslave -> eternity co'lars (11/22/2007 1:47:57 PM)

for christmas this year, my Master is gifting me with an eternity co'lar to mark O/our 5th year together, i am wishing feedback on those who wear them, on how it makes them feel in relevance to their slavery.  as i am new to this comm, through much reading have learned much on the BDSM and Gorean lifestyle. i wish i had found this community sooner as it is most informative.
Thank You,
esme'

Most people I know who have them love them. Those that don't find that the perfect circle doesn't actually fit their neck shape. I've always suggested they get a bigger size. They've always balked at the idea. So, be sure to get something that fits comfortable.

my sister loves hers. though like Master Fire mentioned, the next size up was really comfortable for her. im not sure where her husband got it but when i researched for this post there was mention that it has been apart of the fetish community for a while now.......hehehe wonder what my vanilla sister will think about that? :)

I have one that i absolutely love! I also can only wear it for small amounts at a time.

IF! you have any type of neck/shoulder/back problem.....you "could" have issues with wearing it. While it is not extremely heavy, it does bare weight down on you.

i have worn mine for almost two years now.  It has become a part of me.  It never comes off.  i wear it to work and usually do not get many comments about it.  There have been a few times that people have known what it is.  As far as how it makes me feel, as i said, it is now a part of me.  It is a part of Us.  i find myself reaching for it during the day, unconciously most of the time.  It is the same and means as much to me as the wedding ring on my finger.  It is who i am and Who i belong to.

michelleryder -> RE: eternity co'lars (11/23/2007 1:17:01 AM)

I wear mine 24/7 and have no problems with it. The only thing i find is in the summer the heat from the sun makes me feel very hot and odd times it can feel heavy. It can draw remarks from time to time but lots of people compliment me on it too.

OsideGirl -> RE: eternity co'lars (11/23/2007 9:18:59 AM)

I love mine. The original owner of the company is a close friend of ours, so I've gotten to see so any different wearings of it. His girl at the time wore two collars stacked that were very snug. She never took them off. She said it took a few weeks to get used to them. One lady wears four stacked and is very striking with her shaved head.

I'll wear mine for a few days at a time, if I'm not going to work. I do have a neck problem (broke my 3rd cervical several years ago) and I don't have a issue. Although, that doesn't mean it won't irritate your neck issue.

I wear mine looser, so that it sits at the base of my neck, more like a necklace.

This is my biggest concern. i wanted one of these so badly but then Stehann here told me that his slave wears one and that it is kind of weighty but there is an alternative that is more lightweight (though i lost the link to it from my messenger DANG IT)

sambamanslilgirl -> RE: eternity co'lars (11/23/2007 9:29:04 AM)

i love my eternal metal "wedding" ring around my neck and have been wearing it for almost a year now (on and off since i have 2 other collars).  when it was first place around my neck, i did have a hard time adjusting to the weight and couldn't sleep with it on at night. now, i wear it 24/7 with special expections like when around family/relatives though i would feel naked with it on.

Stephann -> RE: eternity co'lars (11/23/2007 11:06:13 AM)

I locked one on charlotte's neck over two months ago, and it hasn't come off since.  It fits rather snugly, with about one inch of 'give'.  It is a perfectly round circle, mind you, and a person's neck isn't, so before you buy one I strongly suggest you try to measure with a circle.  If you're concerned, you can use a tape measure, pencil, and string to measure out a circular piece of cardboard.  The company allows for free exchanges if you buy it too small or too big, by the way.  They're a little on the heavy side (her's is about 8 or 9 ounces) and have absolutely no give; it's a steel ring, and very durable.

It looks enough like a necklace, that she's had a few people comment on it, without seeming to realize what it's for.

Oh, and for cherry, the collars I showed you were at http://bondagecollars.com

i would like to offer my T/thank Y/you to A/all who posted a response to my question.  the answers put my mind at ease in regards to the sizing and fit of the co'lars.  as far as how wearing it makes the ones feel who wear them...are the same feelings i am experiencing with the co'lar i am wearing now,  but as i also know and will find out soon, this one will be for an eternity...~smiles~, once again i please beg....T/thank Y/you for kindness in answering....

~smiles~ my 'eternity' co'lar was locked upon me neck on dec. 1.  i will admit it is quite different, especially the weight of it. i remarked to me Master about its rigidity and He told me that it serves to remind me of my place in His life.  these co'lars do take time to get used to, but it does serve as a constant reminder of who i am.  although i have had several questioning glances and even had a few who said it was a very pretty necklace....i smile secretly as i know what it truly means to me.  again i would wish to offer T/thank Y/you to A/all who helped me on my quest for information on them...

So.....what does the apostrophe signify?  Just curious.

It's just another inane way for people to romanticize or add some level of fantasy mysticism to a collar.  Kind of like how people think it makes them more subly or slavely to use T/this K/kind O/of N/nonsense when they type.

LaMspeach -> RE: eternity co'lars (12/12/2007 5:51:53 PM)

I wear an eternity bracelet instead of a collar. It is oval instead of perfectly round and fits me so much better then the prefectly round one did.
http://www.houseofcollars.com/domwolf1B.html

I love the weight of it and the fact that it is sort of clunky; it is a constant reminder of my place in his life as I move through out my day. I also use it as a form of comfort when I am having a difficult time, such as turning it or just touching it reminds me of his words of encouragement.

Elorin -> RE: eternity co'lars (12/12/2007 6:28:28 PM)

I don't know if M went with eternity collars or another company. I wear mine less now than when he first got it. I have anxiety and when I would have panic attacks I got really bad and ended up buying my own allan wrench to take it off in those extremities.

I've also gained about 30 pounds since he bought it and it was comfortable before. Now it feels almost too snug if it's slipped on.

I'd like to wear it full time but haven't been offered that opportunity.
