Pantyhose comes across as very effective way to bind as well as encase someone (see www.encasementfetish.com and www.knottysilkscarf.com to see visual examples of what i'm referring to exactly). I'm surprised many (not all) BDSM participants aren't quite familiar with this form of bondage (i.e. one pro-domme's idea of pantyhose encasement she thought was at first simply wrapping multiple pairs around the sub when the more effective way to do it is put the sub inside the actual pairs).

Why do you think it's not very common? What are your thoughts on pantyhose bondage?

My husband has a serious pantyhose fetish and I like to incorporate nylon/pantyhose in many forms of bondage. We often use nylon/pantyhose for mummification, encasement and bondage scenes in a public play space and often get strange looks....it is not a widely popular fetish...but it isn't that far out there either. Most people think about dressing sexy in nylons, stockings and pantyhose but don't always think about other ways to use them. We enjoy the play and have turned a few people on to it as well. We have a great nylon bodybag that I like to use...and that is usually reserved as a reward for good behavior.

Thanks for bringing this fetish to light.

I've used pantyhose and stockings in bondage, humiliation and torture scenarios for years. I don't think it's that people are unaware of it, I think that many shy away from engaging in activities with people who place more focus on the items involved than the woman.

I've always seen bondage of any kind as a sort of speciality activity. When i go to dungeons or parties, bondage is seldom a part of any scene i see. Perhaps it is more popular in places i do not go, but (shrugs) i can not know that. Am just trying to answer your question as to why pantyhose bondage is not more popular.

As for me personally, bondage is not my thing...either to participate in or to watch....whether pantyhose or rope or chain is used. Not to put it down but for me it's kind of boring. Perhaps more patience than i have is necessary.

Uh huh.

People with fetish fixations can tend to become very frustrating. It's nice if they can at least find something beyoind that to spend time with others. If not, t sort of becomes like having a record playing that skips-and no way to turn the effing thing OFF.

Panyhose are evil contraptions invented by someone to add to the annoy routine of a woman getting dressed up.They go on up there with the bustle that made womens asses look huge back in the day. If its not garters and stockings then give me pants as long as they arent nylon.

I think that this is a kink specific subject, whether it be tights (as us Brits call them), or as part of a bondage kink. Perhaps it is not very common because it comes lost under the bondage umbrella, or just because it is a specific kink that affect a minority within the lifestyle.

As for my thoughts, I wouldn't dream of expressing them here when already a pro-domme has been damned quite ungracefully for utilising them in what is considered an "incorrect" manner.

This is very true. Folks with fetishes to particular materials can be very single-minded in thier way of thinking. Whether it's pantyhose, crossdressing, leather, or rubber, if one fixates on the object too much, other things quickly become unimportant.

I suspect most people have some form of fetish. I know I do. But it's a dangerous place when you let yourself be solely consumed by them.
