From an empircal point of view, to believe oneself is a multitude of others can be a fairly logical view; at times, I wonder if most of us are in denial of multiple aspects. It's just too cumbersome for us, though, to recognize such things. Humans really don't have the capacity to be -that- bright, so attempting to maintain such a system seems to bog down individuals. The lack of communication about such systems, too, (as they're often denounced as insane) probably contributes to the lack of health about them.
