Okay, well I'm gonna go poke a sharp stick in my eye now.

Reminds me of a small banner I saw on the Internet once...

"USE EXTREME CAUTION when opening images.
Whatever you try, it is not possible to un-see something."

Appropriately illustrated with a white-on-blue stick figure by a PC, poking his eyes with a knife.

Health,
al-Aswad.

Exactly!...lmao

I can recall all the warnings years ago about the dangers of fantasy role playing in the dungeons and dragons game, how people could develop warped senses of reality , I think now I have found the evidence to support those claims

From an empircal point of view, to believe oneself is a multitude of others can be a fairly logical view; at times, I wonder if most of us are in denial of multiple aspects.

It's just too cumbersome for us, though, to recognize such things.  Humans really don't have the capacity to be -that- bright, so attempting to maintain such a system seems to bog down individuals.  The lack of communication about such systems, too, (as they're often denounced as insane) probably contributes to the lack of health about them.

Fascinating verbiage in this thread, although some of it reminds me of a couple lines from the old Lenny Bruce routine, "Thank You Mask Man," wherein the sheriff(?) tells the Mask Man, "Woo, buddy, you shure can talk some shit, you make my head hurt!" [sm=biggrin.gif]
