So with the Holidays just days away and others to follow( in the USA). Do you find the Holidays are one of extra activities , about the same,,or does it become left on hold  until after the rush is over??
Around the world , please share your experiences too

I think you mean: HOLIDAYS: ARE YOU AS ACTIVE?

Answer: No. I'm usually exhausted from shopping, putting up stupid self-tangling lights, cooking, visiting with relatives, eating myself into a turkey induced coma, or just trying to catch up on sleep after a 7 hour cross country drive (with gas at $3.17 a freaking gallon!)

Usually, this picks up on New Year's Eve... where getitng drunk and fucking adds to the experience. (I plan to spend this year at a swing group's party.)

Merry F'in' Xmas!

Oh, and next holiday season? I'm off on a two week cruise to see the Alaskan coast, before the asshole Republicans fuck it up.

When my UM was little, Xmas always included hunting for the elusive strawberry shortcake doll or whatnot.  Very stressful.  Now i have done everything, all my shopping, etc., and need only send Xmas cards.  That's something i neglected the past couple of years and i don't want to lose touch with far-flung friends.

The actual days of T-day and Xmas are quiet and peaceful; a little time with the family then home to veg out.
