Fast reply: No after effects really, though when you wake up, you may be slightly sluggish because it produces a very deep REM sleep. The sluggishness wears off in a snapp though, like just a couple of minutes. Other effects are: migraine prevention, reduction of anxiety, reduction of depression, boosts the immune system, in higher doses can be a contraceptive (do not try these higher doses though). Do not use it if you are on MIAO's. Here is a Mayo clinic link for it, and I recommend researching it thoroughly before you start taking it. I take 6 to 9 mg a night. Oh it is also used to come off of things like diazopam and lorazopam. The drug companies really do not like this supplement, and hopefully it will not go the way of DSMO. If you do not know what DSMO is, it would have been the modern equivilent to aspirin, an over the counter remedy for many, many things, but the drug companies got the FDA to ban it. Orion
