Olbermann: How to Really Support Our Troops [VIDEO]
http://www.alternet.org/blogs/video/68165/

-----

Seriously heartbreaking. So yes, I have no stomach for wars the reasons for which have entirely vanished.

As we now all know that the whole justification for the war was an utter falsehood, can't we just bring our people home? I don't have anyone over there very well, I know some very few people that are there as the merest acquaintances only. But as the justification has vanished, as it is a waste of taxpayer's dollars, as the continuance of this effort is destroying many American lives and those of the people whose countries we now occupy - just bring them home.

Now.

Right now!

If you disagree, go to a mirror and look at yourself. Tell yourself that you place the cost of oil over the value of human lives. That's what is left to us as the reason for being there. Remind yourself daily that the profits of Koch Industries, Inc is worth thousands of American lives. Praise your god that it is so. You know your god...

...Mammon.

Yeah, 56 years is enough!
Let S. Korea defend themselves.

I looked around for a GOOD Audience recording of this, as that captures the real essence of 30,000 people singing along, with feeling. Alas, nothing on Youtube.

Live 10 May 2006 version

If you love this land of the free
Bring 'em home, bring 'em home
Bring them back from overseas
Bring 'em home, bring 'em home

It will make the politicians sad, I know
Bring 'em home, bring 'em home
They wanna tangle with their foe
Bring 'em home, bring 'em home

They wanna test their grand theories
Bring 'em home, bring 'em home
With the blood of you and me
Bring 'em home, bring 'em home

We'll give no more brave young lives
Bring 'em home, bring 'em home
For the gleam in some fool's eyes
Bring 'em home, bring 'em home

The men will cheer and the boys will shout
Bring 'em home, bring 'em home
And we will all turn out
Bring 'em home, bring 'em home

The church bells will ring with joy
Bring 'em home, bring 'em home
To welcome our darlin' girls and boys
Bring 'em home, bring 'em home

We'll lift their voice and sound
Bring 'em home, bring 'em home
Yeah, when Johnny comes marching home
Bring 'em home, bring 'em home

Bring 'em home, bring 'em home
Bring 'em home, bring 'em home
Bring 'em home, bring 'em home
Bring 'em home, bring 'em home

Bring 'em home, bring 'em home
Bring 'em home, bring 'em home
Bring 'em home, bring 'em home
Bring 'em home, bring 'em home

If you love this land of the free
Bring 'em home, bring 'em home
Bring them back from overseas
Bring 'em home, bring 'em home

If you love this land of the free
Bring 'em home, bring 'em home
Bring them back from overseas
Bring 'em home, bring 'em home

Yep. National armies are more often than not in essence, mercenaries in the employ of corporations and not the defence of a nation.
