I was wondering if it is common or not for Masters to intentionally or even unintentionally use forms of hypnosis or NLP (neurolinguistic programming) to help with mind control of their submissive/slave (s)? What type of experience do you have with these types of techniques and how did your submissive/slave(s) react to it ? Did he or she know that you were doing it intentionally? Whether or not you have experience with it, I would be interested in your personal opinion about this topic. Thank you in advance for any perspectives you are willing to share.

I'm not sure about common....but surely not unheard of, certainly. I can see this being a useful tool, depending where and how it's applied. At the same time, part of feels like this sorta taints the dynamic. There's also an obvious erotic aspect to such things but I put that more in the realm of fun and not anything practical. If she serves as she should, why would this be needed? One of the examples where I guess I could say I have a certain experience with this is release-on-command and such, which I see as a cousin to hypnosis. Programming a neuro response attached to a trigger (voice or otherwise). I've also spoken with Doms that will tie release to activities they want to create positive reactions towards. So, if your sub is on the fence or lukewarm on an activity, tying her release to that activity can increase her proclivity to respond to it (in either thought or deed). That's just Pavlovian though and doesn't really enter the realm of hypnosis and such. It think this sort of reprogramming being successful is largely subjective. The subject has to be open to the 'molding' it will receive and must actively take part and participate in it for it to reach its potential. If the programming is happening in a more clandestine fashion, it would seem like it would take much longer or not be quite as effective. Personally, I think these items are best left to the people that have receieved professional training. This is something that can have longterm effects, even past the end of the relationship. A hack can do quite a bit of damage.

let me speak to this,some Doms use Hypnosis yes you can do damage with it,heres how i know that one im a trained clinical Hypnotherapist,two i have seen the results personally of amateur attempts,my sub tried to hypnotize her lover and hit a memory during a life regression,not the same as a past life,she hit a brutal rape memory in her lver and her lover was screwed up for months,she relived the rape.you can use hypnosis to train behavior but you have to know what your doing and you have to be ready for the result,post hypnotics especially.

Yes, hypnosis, NLP, and Metaphysics in general can be very useful in helping people, but they should not be delved into as a means of play, since those who are not properly trained in those areas can haven't a clue as to the damage they can cause by not knowing what they are doing. When a person is looking into playing within the realms of hypnosis without having the proper education in that field, or with a person who is really clueless, that person should ask him/herself,: "Would I let just anybody that has a sharp knife perform open heart surgery on me?" "Would I be comfortable enough to allow a taxicab driver with a high school education to represent me in criminal court?" "Would I allow a neuro-surgeon, though he may be smart, to build my house for me?"

I have see some books about M/s relationships using tools of NLP, but not only in the way we are used to see this, as a way to increase the control of the slave, but both of them including the Owner, as NLP is mainly a colection of methods about comunication with others and with ourselves, adding a number from a great variety of psychology tecniques. The hypnosis as the movies have presented it, is a thing about some people consider no more than a intense sugestion, so no such unconscious zombies that believe they are an orquest and play instruments,,,lol It would be nice,,no doubt :)

i have a question for P/pl trained in hypnotherapy: can it be done over the phone? i have had two Doms claim They were trained and try to hypnotise me by phone, but frankly i felt nothing at all. On the other hand my UM went to a hypnotherapist and quit smoking in one day. So i know it can work. pinksugarsub

It's not common because most doms are too clueless and insecure to even start building a thorough psychological dynamic between their partner, let alone a sustainable and aware one as that. And of the percentage who do dabble in it, a fair percentage end up doing more harm than good by treating them like parlor tricks and fun kinky toys rather than serious relationship building exercises.

Yes, pinksugarsub, hypnosis can be effective over the phone, if the hypnotherapist has the proper training and skills, and knows what s/he is doing. The subject (or patient, as some may say) has to be in the right frame of mind, as well.

As a certified hypnotist, I use hypnosis quite regularly on my slave. I even helped her with her insomnia. I would never deem to attempt to fix any deep seated psychological problems if my slave had any, but as a way to enhance submission and to help with things such as sleep, I am qualified to help. To pinksugarsub, a person probably will not be hypnotized over the phone, unless they have been previously hypnotized in person already by the person they are talking with on the phone.

hypnosis by phone is usually only sucessful when there is a preexisting post hypnotic sugestion with a trusted hypnotist that has placed a post hypnotic in the subject

If the hypnotherapist is well trained and highly skilled, a post-hypnotic prerequisite is not an absolute, as telephonic initial hypnosis can be achieved.

Hypnosis doesn't work as a form of "mind control." And as far as I know the only thing NLP really works on is to increase the bank accounts of people who can profit from claiming it works. Before asking if something can be or is used for "mind control" perhaps one might ask if "mind control" is real or delusional.

In my own opinion, I would never use hypnosis or mind control to control a submissive/slave in a relationship. I personally like to keep their core essence, who they are, intact. Infact I encourage it to grow, and thrive. I would however consider it for alternative applications, say helping her to quit smoking, or to help with memory loss, those kinds of things. As a side note; I have no disagreement with the use of it in relationships, it's just not my cup of tea.

A MASTER used hypnosis on me over the phone for months to help me let my defenses down about being the slave i needed to be but feared to be. But then he started hypnotizing me so i couldn't move my legs, etc. it seemed to work but must admit i faked it a few times so i wouldn't hurt his feelings.

From my studies in the area, you could do it without their knowledge, Ie putting suggestions into a dvd or cd, playing it for them, but you cannot get a person to do what they do not want to. Mind you this is a subconcious choice not a concious one, so the results may differ from what you expect.

Yes and no. As Qithoras stated, to a degree, though the term for use of hidden messages in attempt to control the mind, while being in the realm as part of the whole in metaphysics, is called "subliminal perception", which, although similar, it is not equivocal to hypnosis & NLP. In hypnosis, a subject has to be willing and have a predisposition to compliance with the subconscious suggestions. In subliminal perception, the idea is to attract those hidden files within our minds in order to attempt to influence us to act on those hidden files (i.e. the Ritz crackers having "sex" written all over them, the old Smirnoff ads where the image of a naked couple in coital positioning was subliminally imposed in the ice cubes, etc.).

Qithoras: What stops you from using hypnosis to encourage your subs core essense to grow, and thrive even more than normal? littlegrlatheart: Do you ever "space out" without knowing about it before hand? Although, it's easier to do a lot more with a person if they've given their consent to whatever you're going to do with them.

I used to play with a Dom who I liked a lot, but sometimes after the scene I would have flashbacks and remember things that I hadn't remembered before, and didn't know if they happened or not. And sometimes there were gaps in time, or I would remember being in one place and then I'd be in another part of the room, without remembering how I got from one position to the next. He was into lots of weird stuff and I always wondered if he used hypnosis on me. So to answer your question, I only seemed to space out with him and he never admitted to using hypnosis. I certainly didn't "allow" it to happen. I am a very suggestable person, so that makes me a bit worried.
