When searching for a committed, real time partner (eventually), how wide of a geographic net do you cast?

I've searched far and wide to find Mistress.  I had to not only travel outside my state to find Her, but outside my freakin' time zone.  It's a long way from Louisiana to West Virginia.  It could be worse, though.  She could be even further and still be in Detroit

It has to be within convenient driving distance and more importantly, convenient for frequently getting together. Long distance makes no sense to me, but it might work for others.

I wasn't even looking! I was found by a Man in Greece and I'm totally open to moving there. Not like I'll never see my family and friends. He mentioned that he's open to try out Belgium or Holland as well, so all is possitive.
But all things in due time. :-) I'm patient.

I hit a hiatis when I found THE man for which all others can aspire to. He is 1200 miles away. I dont want 2nd prize- so either equivalant to best=- or no deal.

I dont want to be supported, nor will I support anyone. So alot of candiates are out from the git go.

At this moment, I have dates with local guys {same county} set up for the next 2 weeks; but I am talking to guys who are as far away as 3 or4  hours by car [Cali is a BIG state and 3 or 4 hours is not that long of a drive]; distance isn't a big factor, its more a matter of compatability and if we do live some distance apart, how much commitment and effort will be put into making things work. That doesn't mean if Mr. Right was in Maine and we got along great and everything clicked, that I would say 'yes' it just means I am open to whatever may happen.

+1

I've driven to SoCal to meet people before and NorCal.

But I think I draw the line at more than 4 hours considering I hate driving anyway

I find myself considering those from other countries, so my search is global, however, it takes a tremendous amount of energy. If someone has the resources to come here to meet or flyme there, then I will consider them. I will not fund international travel, but will not rule out finding that perfect LTR slave or sub with location as a block.

I have found that long distance relationships are doomed to failure.  I find a 50 mile limit works well.  More than that puts a strain on things.
