I shall always prefer to confess my ignorance of the cause of gravity than to have recourse to such strange hypotheses.
I'll admit that I haven't seen nearly all of the data collected on global warming, but I feel its doubtful for such data to be more than circumstantial. In a way, I hold the notion that "global warming is for sure" bit in contempt of reason. Now, if one were to say, "It seems likely that global warming is the case", they may make such an argument.. but it strikes me as entirely unreasonable for us to believe in global warming to the extent of blindly accepting that it's real, that it's getting worse, and that it's largely caused by humanity via CO_2 emmissions.
So, I'd take Euler's stance here; I perfer my ignorance to immediately accepting the first plausible theory as fact.
