I get my new hip tomorrow, yippeee!!!!  We've figured out how to set up my computer so i can use it from my lift chair, so i will probably be back on shortly after i get home from the hospital.  I feel very well prepared, gave Hubby instructions on everything, even a tour of the cupboards, He didn't know where anything was.  I taught Him how to prepare my oatmeal and defrost other meals that i have in the freezer ready to go. He looks so lost in the kitchen LOL.

Would you believe our septic tank picked today to back up, grrrrrrr.  I'm trying desparately to get someone out here today so i can finish the laundry and i absolutely have to shower tonight and scrub with the special sponges the doc gave me.

Thanks to everyone who gave me advice, i really appreciate it.  I am feeling better now about being so useless for several weeks.

Once more I will caution you, when you come home resist the temptation to overwork it, stay with the plan given by the physical therapists so that you don't turn this into a long layabout.........or I won't fuckin' beat you------

Go get 'em tiger, you will feel like a new person.

Maybe you want to write a down to earth 'For New Slaves:  The life of a submissive', book; or a treatise on how to jerk threads (for the good of all mankind) in your downtime........that would be good service.

Good luck on the surgery. I will keep you in my thoughts. Take it easy. No need trying to rush recovery, let people spoil you for a while.

my Christmas shopping is all done to.  I've been getting our tax stuff together recently.

Good Luck Liz, you'll do fine though.  As others have said don't try to overdue it when you get home.

Good luck with the surgery... just take it easy... and alow your body the time it needs to heal. It will be long and boring.. so be sure to have entertainment and books on hand.

Swift healing!

Oh i plan to.

I threw all the loose papers in my office in a box to sort through; i plan to catch up on DH's corporation books which i am way behind on; i have a lot of silver that needs polishing; i plan to sort through and organize all my pictures that are in my computer as well as the ones for my ladies golf club; i have a zillion recipes (South Beach of course) that i need to organize; i will work on some things for DH's business; and of course play games on www.pogo.com and read a lot.  I might even read some threads i missed on CM. That should keep me busy.

Thank you to everyone wishing me well.

Good luck
From several I have spoken to who have underwent hip surgery the common theme I have heard is that the post surgery pain is less than what they were having prior to the surgery I hope that is true for you

Dear proudsub,

Being in recovery does not equal being useless. Keep your mind and
hands busy and follow the orders of the doctors and physical therapists.

We want to hear all about it, especially those "special sponges".
