I have a full profile, interest list and journal. It also says "Not looking right now".

Whats the big deal?

You should have a profile yes. You should do everything that other people tell you to do. That's the way to success and happiness. Also, having a profile gives people potential ammunition to use against you when the flame wars get going. How annoying must it be to have to pick on someone based merely on what they say, and not on personal information they chose to share in their search for a partner, or friends.

Not having a profile is like going out without a face. Would you go out without yours? No. Most places refuse to serve people without faces anyway, on account of it being morally wrong. Your profile should be a window to your soul. It should be comprehensive, pensive, intensive and above all - non offensive.

I think you can just put your profile on inactive.You can still navigate and browse,email and chat,etc.

People don`t see you,even on their "who`s viewing me" page.

CM Profiles is different from CChat here.  You get profiles on each.
CM you can deactivate if you want and that way you can still contact others, just not have your profile on.
 
But I don't understand why you have to ask - do your own thing.
