Decimus -> Simple question about stories (11/5/2007 6:58:25 PM)

I know alot of people have mentioned writing stories for their dom(me)s or for their subs. How long have your stories been on average or the longest one you have ever written? Also, what are the titles? Mainly just curious, as you can see from my quote the title of mine was "The Beginning of Dreams".

Dnomyar -> RE: Simple question about stories (11/6/2007 5:29:38 AM)

Hypothesize the big words out of your story. The avereage person dosent like to try to figure out big words.

I don't write "stories" so much as keep a dream lof for her. I's someone who seems to be able to remember his dreams quite clearly, and they seem to be pretty sexual about 75% of the time.... She likes them because it gives her some insight to my mind. Often, when I do write these out, they end up being a couple of hundred words long... about the same length as a "Penthouse Forum" letter. LOL

short  flowery and to the point ,, no more than a normal short story,, or essay,, i get board reading them,, so at times i make them,
but then ,, i'm one whom like have my slave keep a journal of her thoughts and desires ,, that may be open to me to read at any time,, and  i like to require at least one entry a day ,, and one short erotic stroy a week if not more,,
more of what her thoughts, desires and daydreaming fantisies are, thus giving me even a deeper insight into her mind and want and desires,, both in plasure and punishment

Good thing I'm not writing for the average person I'm writing for myself and for Aerith. Personally I feel I should use the best words to describe a situation be them large or small, common or uncommon. If you can't understand it and don't bother to look it up your loss. I personally feel that people who do not get above a certain score on an IQ test should be taken out of the genetic pool, don't want them hurting the rest of us.

Translation for Dnomyar: I right gud how I lik, I sry u no c it dat way.

Decimus -> RE: Simple question about stories (11/6/2007 1:01:53 PM)

Thats ironic BiPolar because thats exactly what my story is, its a dream I used to have as a child obviously with a few more adult themes now :) I was just curious about the length because when I ended it now it was 110 pages and if I had elaborated alot more on characters and surroundings as I know many other authors do I could have made it 2-3 times as long.

MRandme -> RE: Simple question about stories (11/6/2007 2:25:14 PM)

i write as a hobby... yes it is smut. lol. When i first met my Master, i sent Him links to those stories that had a BDSM bent to them. He was intrigued enough to ask me to write a story describing what i thought our first play session would be like. i did so.

Since then, i became His sub and then His slave. i still write for Him occasionally -- a snippett or a scene, perhaps -- which He enjoys and rewards me for.

And i still write my smut on the side...

You mean like "hypothesize"?

ownedgirlie -> RE: Simple question about stories (11/6/2007 4:51:24 PM)

I write to my Master a lot.  I write him letters, journals, dreams, essays, reports, emails about my day, and stories.  He enjoys all of it and notices right away when I fall behind.  I have teased him that he's going to cause me carpal tunnel, but he does enjoy what I send him.  Stories are usually 3-5 pages in length, and contain whatever words flow out of me - there is no hypothesising, lol.  I don't title the stories.  He reads them and saves them and sometimes comments on them, particularly if it's one he really likes.

sammiebabygirl -> RE: Simple question about stories (11/6/2007 4:58:06 PM)

The first story I wrote was actually a dream. I woke up from the dream and immediately got up and typed it up, so as not to forget any of it. I have it on the website of one my the local bdsm sites. Too bad there is not a forum here where we could post our stories. I would love to read what others have written.

I have two stories going right now.  Facets is at 21 pages, and Portrait of a Shattered Woman is at 9 pages (neither of these are complete yet).  Neither of these will be as long as my novella was, which had nine chapters and ended up being over 100 pages long.

It varies. As a writer, you use as many words as it takes to tell the story you want to tell. As a reader, one of my favorite ongoing writing projects is Alexandra Erin's Tales of Magisterus University -- she's up to 92 chapters in four books of BDSM and high fantasy all rolled into one storyline.

My stuff tends to be shorter, but then I'm writing vignettes usually rather than a coherent storyline - though a number of my vignettes are actually connected and might form the core of a longer writing project similar to Erin's Tales of M.U.  I average about 37 paragraphs and 2100 words per story. Here's the breakdown on erotic stuff I've done in the last year: I look at these numbers and giggle when I compare them to the writing I do for a living (can you visualize a document at 2700 pages and 190 chapters? I dunno even how to begin looking at word/paragraph count!)

I guess we should eschew erudition and the exquisite pleasures of literate, elegant composition for the simpler world of the uncivilized, uncultivated, uncultured, lowbrow, unintelligent, unpolished, unrefined, uninformed, ignorant, illiterate, and uneducated.

Ok. How do you do that? I mean linking just the title and not the whole URL?

Thanks,

Put the title in as plain text. Highlight it.  Click the link tool at the top of the edit window (the one that looks like the planet earth with a  link of chain at the bottom). Put in the URL. Click OK. VoilĂ !

I'd love to hear you repeat this paragraph after several Margueritas (assuming you drink)... [:D]

Seriously, though, I wrote two relatively brief stories for each of the first two subs I met on CM. The first ("Encounter") was a vivid description of what might happen during the first 15 minutes of our first meeting. Erotic, naturally. I described how I would restrain her, pantyless, on a hard wooden chair and proceed to undress her slowly, garment by garment, with just a little BDSM content.

The second story ("Evening") was about 2000 words) and was very sexually and BDSM-explicit. It detailed restraint, warmup, nipple clamping and subsequent half-hour whipping from shoulders to toes, followed by taking her from behind and volcanic organisms, both hers and mine.

At least I was able to turn some of that fantasy into reality....

(grins) I have a fair amount of Texas accent even sober, and if I have been drinking all the sounds of education leave my speech and I go back to a very thick North Texas buzzsaw of an accent.  My Lady thinks it's charming... she brews beer, wines, and meads, and finds me really amusing if I drink.

But the particular sentence is doable drunk - the scansion is pretty regular if you can get past "eschew".

Were your stories available somewhere online?
