so, typically, I am a quiet person. I stay to myself and read the forums, but this has been a nagging issue of mine...

I tend to take the submissive role in the bondage realm (ropes, restraints, blindfolds, etc.) but I have noticed an abbundance of aggression in the S&M realm concerning myself. I'm very aggressive when it comes to biting, spanking, NT, whips, floggers, etc.

I have not run accross anyone else with similar issues and just wondering what the wise, experienced, and educated of collarme.com think about this. just trying to understand myself better and who i really am.

thanks

That looks like a good description of an sk to me

You are what you are,  just as I am what I am.  Sometimes the terms used fit us,  sometimes they don't.  There are those who think of me as a dom, master, top, service top, and a few others besides!  I am all of those things,  yet none of them.   When chatting to someone new, I describe myself as a dom,  it's a close enough fit to not cause any confusion.

Maybe a switch would be a good label for you?  Or matbe a bottom with both sadistic and masochistic feelings?

We contain multitudes... sometimes the boxes are just too confining for people with broad horizons...and that is ok.

Don't worry so much about the labels or definitions.  As long as you're having fun, don't stress yourself out over it.  Of course, mine is one of an infinite number of opinions on the subject.  Regardless, good to see a local.  Take care.

As always, YMMV...

If you always prefer the submissive role, you're sadistic submissive. The two words are not repellant of each other. Or, if you sometimes like to Top, you're a switch. Like someone else said though, what's in a name?

My submale is like this, he loves to be aggressive with biting, clawing etc and I love it. I am not one for calm sex for lack of a better term, I like it to be hot, primal and passionate. So yes there are other subs like you out there and all I can say is, thank the Goddess for them!

First thing I thought of was a Shadow Knight!

OP why is it a "nagging issue" with this? Just be yourself, but play nice & warn others if you tend to bite, LOL.

You are not alone!  I am also one of those agressive subs and had a tough time with it at first too because lots of doms don't seem to take well to it.  Luckily I found one who loves it, because I have no interest in trying to tame my primal agressive drives.  I really like to get totally riled up, my man giving me just enough leeway to enjoy myself, then being overpowered and held back or knocked back in line.  That is fun stuff.

I identify with switch because most people know what it is, and seem to accept it.  otherwise I just call myself a sadistic masochistic bitch. lol

Well... needless to say, I'm overwhelmed by the multitude of responses. Thank you all.

It's not that I'm looking for a label, I just feel awkward for being so different and having been shund (that sounds a bit silly on a bdsm forum - ha). The reason I find it to be nagging, I have tried explaining it in past relationships, but I guess the other just had no idea exactly what I meant. Even when I hold back the biting.

I guess after reading the posts and thinking on it, I definitely have to at least finally admit to being a switch.

FYI... sk = my initials and I am a male. just clarifying since i saw a "she/her"reference

I am all three, and I take pride in my freakiness.  There's another thread here somewhere that's recent about subs who are sadistic.  It doesn't seem to be uncommon.  The two aren't mutually exclusive and labels don't mean much as evidenced by the fact that on these forums we can never agree what any one label means.  Be what you are and do what you do and find someone that's right for you.

good luck to you,
