greetings to all this is a thing we in the black community think as a thing that as run into the ground , so many when OJ had his trial and before it was read so many white and other races thought the black community was about to explode if he did not get off. first let me enlighten many of you we did not give a damn about him oh yes you did see some screaming and rejoining. but remember that was not all of us , second he did it we all know it and and it was so sick and sad , i feel for the families but OJ and his wife family live off of him and they yes they let and turn their head when he beat he black and blue all the care about was the money. then there is this new book . i could not believe it but the brown"s were up in arm and did not want it printed at all , no if that were my sister i would want it told what happen and how they know he did it. but well when you trash and poor you do anything to have money even let your sister be abuse,. many times the police came to their home and he was never taken in to jail . i do not mean to bring horror filled things up but it still in everyone mind he got bail well maybe this time the police will not set him on a pestle and make him a star it make it ill to think that so many people thought blacks would riot for him are you joking i and the media only show the black people who cheered well that is something so now i wrote this someone had written ( OJ got bail ) i did not find the post so i wrote my own take care mons

Everyone is supposed to get bail of some type mons...it's not punishment but an assurance the person will come back to Court. Keep in mind that when this happened OJ was somewhat of a hero and we're so used to sensationalized press that many assume first reports aren't true. Now people know the guy's a nutcase with a god complex...they didn't know that then. I'm not sure OJ is really specific to race. He was kind of an idolized figure for many people regardless of race. I agree it's sad to watch the african american community for overreaction in every case involving an african american. Really the sad part about this whole ordeal is the effect it's had on people's impressions of the justice system, it was just a miscarriage and mockery in the way it was handled by everyone except the defense attorney. What a circus.

OJ lived in a fairy tale land. Who else here has a blond pool boy ? Come on. Admit it! Few of us live in a pricy exclusive neighborhood- with a guesthouse/poolhouse. Few of us had the millions $ football career. I dont know what folks of color think about it all. Sadly there is a history of domestic abuse- and NiCole and Goldman are dead. If he isn't gulty- that presumes he is innocent. Maybe the verdict should have noted if he was or wasnt "innocent". The whole brood of lawyers is about as blood sucking as one can get. Even if you can afford a good one- they charge a huge amount of cash. One can be right, even legally right- but at what cost? Ones house, car and savngs? Ones credit cards maxed out to pay the broken down sleazy attorney. Your only freind in court is the girl who does the stenograghy. Every one else is feasting off the 'kill.

I'm not getting into a debate about the relative morals of attorneys in general or even defense attorneys. Often times the stereotype is true, however I know of many that aren't in it for the money and do it to attempt to make a difference in the world. OJ's defense team were very talented trial attorneys. They did their job and did it very well. Now if the prosecutors weren't so focused on their daily hairstyle or book and talk show deals we might have seen them notice the defense running away with the show. But the judge wasn't really smart enough to do much about it anyway, so I guess it's all moot.

It depends on where you are at in life. Do I think people get a raw deal, yup. Would I empty the jails, nope. I was bitter- the worse part of all- was my poor mom- who seen the whole nut show. Maybe I have a hint of bad impressions left. The best revenge is living well. So that is what I do. During the shock of the verdict- I called the radio station. As you recall- every day we heard about the case on every channel. Anyhow the verdict is announced. I phoned WILQ- 105.1 FM, the DJ Doug Harrendeen answered. In a perplexed voice I asked in a high tone; ^who is oj?!?^ he burst out laughing! lol Back then I won alot of radio contests. I even would size up the prize if it was a good one. The 30 day rule applied to me. This was so different from big city call ins where one can never be the right caller. Even back then- it often wasnt worth a drive to tim buc too to pick up say a planter. Tho I did sell the $40 gift certificate I won to the party paper place. Someone was getting married. -so they had use for it.

i remember when the verdict was announced and Chicago's finest was alerted to the Black neighborhoods for potential riots (just in case the verdict was guilty). he had a great defense team who worked magic to get him off the first time ...it probably won't happen again.

I have to ask- the people who would riot; what good does it do to burn down the neighborhood. I know the public is destructive when a sports team wins the BIG game. Chicago police are a crude bunch. Signs that say no standing no stopping no parking- mean get lost- drive around the block in circles for hours.

There is justice for the masses and there is justice for the elite. Trials can be and are rigged on behalf of the elite. OJ may have been elite. I wonder if he has killed before - likely - and if so how many times and whom.

I may as well get burned…I’m use to it… It is easy to get off from any charge with or without a good lawyer if you meet the two following conditions; 1… you are innocent 2… you cooperate with the police. The only time you need the so-called ” sleazy attorney “ is when you are guilty. Yes I do believe there are abuses of the system by both police and attorneys but in general we have a fair honest judicial system. As far as the reaction to OJ’s verdict I can only go by my little area of the world… the majority of African Americans I know were overjoyed with the result while Whites were appalled. These were all good people and no matter what the verdict they were not going to break storefront windows and steal TV’s I have no idea what this says about either group other than the general distrust of police by the African American community. Whether this distrust is still deserved I can’t say…I do believe things are changing for the better and I hope that trust will come. Butch

I have the tape of the infamous slow mo ride thru LA. Wow. It was surreal. The world seen it. I recall I was working at the group home. A special annoucement flashed=-and even those on the east coast and in fact all over seen this live. The goldmans cringed at the public display. I dont think it was that simple. This guy was a foot ball hero- and he had not been convicted in a court of law- nor tried at that point.

Here goes my rant. When I was carjacked- it was a fricken wxxxx guy! When my home was torched, it was a wxxxx guy, sorta. When bullets came thru my window. It was a wxxx guy. When I was scammed it was a wxxxx guy. So- fear can be irrational. When I was beat silly- it was a Wxxxx GUY! [a boyfriend] -my conclusion, be careful. dont go loking for trouble. While I cant quite put it into words- some fears are exxagerated. BTW -the buck stops here. I am not a victem- as I will not put myself in bad situations. Eited due to Mombo number 5, ERR I mean 11.

It is thier job to charge people and get the charges to stick. Being nice or co-operative doesnt guarantee that you walk. Knowing your rights CAN be to your advantage. Incidently- police science beleives if you are a victem, you also are a perpitrator. So calling in too much can put you on a list.
