I read the book last year, here's two interview segments with the author more or less recapping the books contents:

That's close to 2 hrs. of interviewing, so perfect for a sunday when you are trying to avoid watching sports and commercials (goals I actually practice every day).

If the start of the second one is any thing to go by the man is talking bollocks.
In the 70's OPEC raised prices to counteract the inflationary increases in the price of Western products and services.

It's controversial, some people believe this guy while others do not. Some of what he asserts is obviously speculation on his part, but I consider his speculations generally accurate. Wiki offers a reasonable redaction of views both pro and con:
