This is one big bummer. This guy in no way sees himself as being a problem. He thinks he's being straight up. From a womans view I totally see where you would be freaked. SO. Try to see it as a mis-communication.

Please. Take a deep breath. He may not be stalking you. He called you on your profile. You denied. That is all so far. It hasnt gone any firther other than you insulted him by denying, so he called you names. Correct? So off to a very bad start.

If you have yourself on websites as so-and-so, and in the future someone says, hey, you look like so-and-so, what will you do? Why could you not own up to your own posting? Why are you afraid of that?

have to kind of agree here....It might be a tad bit creepy that you were spotted....Tis part of the risk of putting up a pic....It's unfortunate that he acted rudely and called you some names.....I don't think the police are going to get to worked up that some guy called you "fat ass."

Other than that, there might be every chance that you might never hear from the guy again....If you suddenly stop posting I will at that time assume that I was incorrect......Good Luck!!!

I am hoping you are correct and am not, at this time, contacting police. I have told people I live with and they have agreed to keep an eye on me and go out with me, if I need to go to the local store, etc.

Thank you.

Sammie,

Make the police report anyway. That puts this on record as a potential problem and keeps the police from pulling a CYA by saying they knew nothing about it.

Since you mentioned you are living in a secure facility I am going to take a stab and guess you are there because of a problem with someone else. There's a good chance your stalker may be keeping tabs on you on that third person's behalf. Looking at it that way makes it a lot more serious.

Then he blocked me.

The guy sounds like a real jerk. but I don't think he intends to stalk you or he wouldn't have blocked you.

The guy has not threatened me in any way, so I really have nothing to report. He, so far, has done nothing illegal.

Nope. I am living here because it is cheap. LOL I am not working presently, although I am looking, and this was what I could afford. The only person I have had any problem with was a woman who lived here and she has since moved out of the country.

Carry a camera with you at all times.  Make a FULL-police report.  Talk to a scetch artist or if you have a friend that can draw have them draw a picture to get as close of a description as possible.  Make copies of ALL the emails and IM conversations who have had and give one copy to a trusted friend who does NOT live in your building; give the other to the DA or police, don't tell them that you have another copy.

If you see him again, watch him for a few moments and get a GOOD look at the creep, if you see him gettign tinot a vehicle, take a picture of him getting into it, the more pictures you can get of him following you and his vehicle the better your case later.

You may want to consider deleting your current profile and starting a new one, WITHOUT your picture and have a note 'picture avaliable upon request' or something to that effect.

I'm sorry this has had to happen to you; I have been there a few times.  One guy took pics of me getting in and out of my car and left copies on my windshield the next day.  A buddy of mine saw him a week later following me as I was driving to meet a date; someone at work had thought it was weird that someone was by my car and the survalence from my office caught him on tape.  He is now spending time in jail for stalking among other crimes, I wasn't the first person he had done that too.  SO the creep who is stalking and harassing you, may be doing this to others.

I never said they were. I am sure there are plenty of unstable women out there who cannot accept rejection. I just have not encountered any.

To slaverosebeauty,
So far he has committed no crime, so a police report makes no sense. Besides, I did not really pay attention to what he looked like or his car. I did not think anything of it when he asked if I was sammie.

I do not think he will be bothering me. I think his ego is bruised and he got mad.

If he does come around again, I will do what I have to.

Thanks for your concern,
jen

Read the above post.... this contains almost everything that you shouldn't or will be unable to do.....For awhile it wouldn't be a bad idea to carry a camera......I really like the idea of that if you have a friend that can draw....Have your friend draw a pic of the guy...Tooooo funny.

I can't imagine that the DA or the police would give two squirts about what has transpired thus far.....

Aside from the "creep" factor....There is nothing wrong with following someone out of curiousity because you think that you might know them......

I believe slaverose is the woman that has posted peoples names and other personal information about folks out on CM on her website.....You might want to contact one of them to see how they dealt with her....This might shed some light on how to truly get rid of a pest.

Gwynvyd -> RE: Guys...help me out here, please. (10/27/2007 9:59:37 PM)

There is idle curiosity.. and then there is damn creepy stalker shit. This asshat falls into the Stalker catogory.

He has prob. blocked you and created a new profile. Be weary of any one new contacting you who has a simular typing style or simular verbage.

I have dealt with peoples stalkers before.. and seen those accused who simply werent stalking just normal blokes. This guy sounds freakin creepy, and potentialy dangerous. Make a police report as many have said. CYA ~Cover Your Ass. If it turns out to be nothing.. no harm no foul.. You'd be amazed at how serious Law enforcement is getting about online crimes, and stalkers from the net. Too many cases of people doing online dating ending up missing or dead.

I wish you luck with dealing with this hun.. and as others said do not form a patern... dont go out the same time every day or take the same route..

Gwyn
