I am so unbelievably curious to find out if anyone else on this site is LDS??? Every time I browse a profile I find that "mormonism" is usually under dislike or tolorate. I get it... most of us aren't liberal or open minded but for the few and far between, I know I for one feel very isolated. Are my husband/Dom and I the ONLY kinky LDS people out there into BDSM or what? Just curious like I already stated. Thanks for your time.

Well, I'm a reformed Catholic but I spent a year in Reno, Nevada as a "Lay-off man" for some ..ahem, "sports investers" and met a lot of LDS people there.
The women referred to themselves as "Jills" and were of easy virtue.
So, I like LDS women! lol

In theory if the LDS have their way with the International Genealogical Index we all will ulitmately be Mormons - so it is just a matter of time. LOL

I know plenty of kinky mormons. However, none of them are members of Collarme.com

People are people. I'm here for varios reasons but never considrered finding people who practice my exact beliefs.

Though very few may practice your denomination, atleast you can find christians. Can that be good enough for you? If not, I suggest you message more people who live in Utah.

Oh, I honestly couldn't care less about what people beileve in or what denomination they are. Worship satan if that's what you choose. I'm just trying to see *laughing at herself* if there are anymore on this site. But thanks for telling me that you know lots of them. I seriously grew up feeling out of place and well... you know how the story goes. Thank s though!!

greetings lovinglylost,

i'm not mormon, but i have been to an lds church a few times and i really enjoyed it! :) i think it's odd that people have this view of it as close-minded - it was one of the best experiences i have ever had in a christian church, primarily because i found the people to be really open-minded and not interested in forcing me to convert or anything like that. good luck finding more kinky mormons :)

respectfully,
annabelle.

I'm sure there are plenty of Mormons into BDSM.  The question is whether they're willing to admit it.  I don't think God decided to make Mormons a bunch of straitlaced bores.  Mormons did that to themselves!

But then I don't see why BDSM per se would be incompatible with your religion.

Well when you think about it, it only makes sense, eh? The husband the head of the household, very patriarchal community. It fits D/s very well. I have to tell you though, that when I think of "kinky" I have not once ever pictured a Mormon.

But I will now.

I'm RLDS if that helps any.  I had attended Mormon services in the distant past and felt uncomfortable because of the rift between men and women and their roles within the house.  And now I'm a sub learning about Gorean Free Womanhood?!?   rofl

Feel free to message me ifn ya wanna talk.

Love and light,
sage

LDS + Latter Day Saint? Man that took some thought to figure that one out. So what in the world does LDS have to do with BDSM?

You're looking to swing with onky those indocterenated into your church? Thats the gist of what I understood, after reading your post. Strange if so.

Are you kidding, sophia? I can't really tell. ~eyebrows raised slightly~

Given her religion and many of the general public's view of LDS, I'm sure that it would be helpful / interesting / important to speak with someone in her own situation. Being an openly kinky Mormon isn't exactly commonplace.

I've seen that show "Big Love" before on HBO.
I think that actress Chloe Sevigney is *HOT!*
Hey, maybe I'll check out one of those LDS Churches for kinky women.
I knew a guy who went to Sex Anonymous meetings to pick up chicks!
"Hi, I'm Jack and I'm an alchoholic!"

"Ah,....wrong meeting."

Also (if you havn't) check your local bdsm community, and yahoo lists.  (and good for meeting other people in general. Welcome!

Am I the only one here who read the title as Moronism?  *Makes appointment with optician*  In the UK we don't hear much about Mormons, so I guess it's simply automatic to fail to read it right first time.  Hello, btw, from a non practicing Jew.  Another one!  There seem to be quite a few of us about.  My curiosity was aroused on reading your post not so much by the fact that you wanted to know if there were other LDS BDSM couples out there, but that you say that LDS is usually only tolerated or even disliked.  Why on *earth* would someones religeous preference be a reason to exclude them?  Or are they perceived as fanatical?

Go check the poly forum -- the mormons are probably hanging around there.

I know some Mormons. They are no different than anyone else but they admit they are what's called "Jack" Mormons. They blow off work and drink and smoke like everybody else. The olman has a few words for them, in fact when they (family freiends) call they call him the Pope.

Then there are the real Mormons who come to the door from time to time. They don't come anymore, and I think I know why. The olman sat there with the Book Of Mormom and the Bible and ripped their faith to shreds. He knows all about Jack Smith and Brigham Young. They don't come around anymore.

He has also been able to quell the Jehovah's Witnesses. They leave their literature now and skeedaddle. Find a good article now and then in there, once in a while. They come around he will invite them in, and then he gets the books out.

He has alot of fun with this, slicing their own words to shreds, with their own words. Hell, he's 68 and has to have some fun.

Mormons he will challenge to show him in either book where polygamy is allowed. It is not. He has read the Bible and the Book Of Mormon cover to cover, and says he has found nothing to indicate this. He asks how then can this ABOMINATION occur ?

When it comes to the JWs he asks just which 144,000 people will be spared ? (you would be surprised at the answer, just ask)

I would take a Mormon Woman. The way I read it I could almost order her not to be Mormon, but I wouldn't do that. I dunno what else might be, I can't screw on Tuesdays, can't have anything up my ass on Thursday nights and can't be tied up on Monday morning. Who knows. Just don't try to get me into it.

I am a firm believer in not believing in anything. Christ was a great Man, if everybody lived by his teachings the world would be utopic. But we don't. As such we gotta do what we gotta do. And I firmly believe that universal forgiveness is wrong. Only your victim can forgive you, not somebody who died 2,000 years ago. Becomes a sticky wicket if you kill someone doesn't it ?

I know, I have felt true guilt. Nothing sane can take it out of me. It is part of me for the rest of my life. Anything that removes that from me is a drug, as much of a drug as heroin or crack. The guilt has impelled me to grow beyond it, and that is exactly what I mean. The guilt is a part of me, but now it makes me better. I want to make up for it, which I never can, but I can strive to get to the point where at least my life has had a positive effect on the world.

That is all I can hope for, because I am sure that when you are dead, you are dead.

T

Ms. Scarlet, when I'm in the US I live in the bible belt, and the Mormon church is looked upon as some bizarre cult. Why, I could not tell you. It is a very misunderstood religion. I have been to several services with some Mormon friends and the church does not have any sort of signage out front, nothing that indicates it is a Mormon church. I asked my friends why and they said it's because they get so much hassle about it that they simply don't want to invite more. A shame. It is a lovely, close, take-care-of-your-own kind of place, with its own version of social services, everyone pitching in and taking care of everyone else. It's one of the very very few christian religions I could tolerate if I had to tolerate one, just because they (for the most part - there are exceptions I'm sure) walk the walk.
