According to this survey, Philadelphia has the nation's least attractive people.

The city of more than 1.5 million people was also found to be among the least stylish, least active, least friendly and least worldly, according to the "America's Favorite Cities" survey by Travel & Leisure magazine and CNN Headline News.

 Personally,I think the Philly cheese steak*, makes up for all of that.

   Dont believe it! Im from no where near there, and have to say
Ive been to Philly and have seen some very pretty amazing people, I just think that the writers are jealous.

i live near Philly, but am not from Philly, (was not born and raised here) and i think there are some very attractive people in Philly. i've met quite a few active people here too. But what is attractiveness, anyway? i have always said...'good looking people are a dime a dozen, its whats inside that counts'.

Wow I thought the people in Philly were totally cool!  When peach & I were lost, some guy pulled up to us and offered us directions - we didnt even ask!  I went shopping one afternoon everyone I ran into was friendly.

As for least attractive, I would have to disagree with that, too.  Then again, there was a party going on in my hotel, filled with a bunch of dignitaries...I was blinded from all their sparkling jewelry...heh. 



Edited to add:  Plus let's not forget South Street :)

BAH!!!

Philly has got to be about my favorite city in the entire nation. ok, granted i havent been to all of them, but Philly, wonderful. not to mention that in sections of Philly i am fairly tall. one also must worship Jim's. i spent fours years living just outside of the Pitts, and gladly made the trek to Philly more than i did into Pitt. Philly and the people in it, just droolable..

I just think it is funny that Washington D.C. almost made it to the top spot.

You can tell an area by what is in the grocery store.  Locally the woman wear almost no make up. Most folks have a few lbs on them. The starved anorexic look doesnt live here in Central Pennsylvania. Philly like all metros- is about money and consumption. Hand your kid $100 for the weekend- and you dont have to toss a ball to them in the yard. You are as good as what you own, even if you got it by being unsavory.

For the money, Harrisburg metro is a nicer place.
