unfair! my Mate and i are married, so sex is very important to both of us. but of corse, if it were not an option due to what ever circumstance (often His work making Him go away for long periods of time) it would not and has not damaged our relationship. phoenix

I voted - no sex allowed, but then again it's circumstances that prohibit. I have a vanilla relationship as well, and we've agreed to be monogomous. So unless I break promises made - no sex for BDSM. Were I not with him? Then my vote is less clear.

It’s BDSM part is the icing on the cake of a good relationship. If the foundation (with the sex isn’t there) then the BDSM won’t be either. But there better be sex. [:D]

Sex is a definant requirement....well...actually...I think Im backwards....BDSM is a requirement in a sexual relationship for me......but...anyway...they both just kinda go hand in hand......

as a masochist, i play pretty hard & although the bdsm play gets me hot, i can & have had bdsm without the sex...so even though my current relationship does include sex, it's most definitely not a requirement...mutual respect & trust are my main requirements......

Personally, I think a 'couples' relationship is always better (for me) when sex is involved. Still, I like to get to know a person a bit before I include sex. It's easy for me to play with somebody, whether it's bowling (kidding) or flogging...we both could have a very good time sans sex. If the relationship developes into something wonderful...the sex probably would be, too. There was a recent thread discussing one niters, and while I've had them...I'm in the group that finds them leaving me rather flat. I don't do 'em any more, I just like knowing who it is, really, that I'm fucking. Yanno? B
