The collar tattoo thread brought this to mind.

Do you have any favorite ways, to mark a sub/slave, either permanent or temporary?

For example;
I like my wench to shave my pussy (the one she is carrying around for me), all except for a two inch square, kind of high up on the Mons Pubis. Then this two inch square of hair is covered with a small 2 ½ X 2 ½ inch square piece of plastic with my initials cut through it, then a depilatory cream applied. After the cream does its magic and the plastic is removed it leaves the wench with a small patch of hair just above my pussy with my initials in it.

As for me, my slave will be marked with just a simple tattoo of my initials on her mound, just above and off center of her clit. she has no ink on her now and this would be her only mark. Which is kind of ironic as I'm working on full sleeves for myself.

I know you didn't ask subs / slaves but i'm going to be bad and reply anyway.
In my opinion the simplest things are the best, you can't bet the markings of a good  beating [:D]

My second submissive wanted a mark for us.  We discussed both temporary and permanent marks and she decided that she wanted something permanent even if the relationship ended up not being permanent. 

We designed a tattoo together that was pleasing to both of us and indicated ownership in a way to us but which would not be all that obvious to anyone else...including any future dominant for her.  We then had it done while she was living with me.  Visualizing it never failed to bring me pleasure and it gave her a sense of security and safety.

Edited to add:  I am also fond of biting and leaving temporary marks in this manner.  Where the biting occurs is agreed upon by the submissive in question and myself.

You can mark out a design and then use the hammer to raise a welt along the outline. It results in a sort of temporary "scar".
The cheap plastic ones seem to work best for me.

From a sub's POV...I don't do tattoos because I don't believe in permanently disfiguring my skin (I consider it a disfigurement on me, on other people they look great!) but I might get my man's name tattooed on me when I'm on my deathbed so we can find each other in heaven [;)]

I've always had a fantasy of being painted on though....just have my man take a paintbrush and write 'mine' across my shoulders or something....maybe even in henna so it lasts for a few weeks as long as it's somewhere coverable by clothes.  Or if I'm bad write 'bad girl' with a sharpie - it will rub my skin raw trying to scrub that off and then he can rub lotion on my 'punishment' [8D]

I once painted on the body of a friend/lover of mine...he came over while I was painting a canvas...and it was so fun and erotic to do that I would absolutely love to have it done to me!

My Master occasionally on a whim will write Property of Master Dax somewhere on my body,  usually right above my ass. It's kinda thrilling to think that it's there and if my shirt rides up a little everyone can see it.  He also ocasionally will leave marks from a punishment or a scene , I really like those!

Ahhh! I had forgotten about henna! *sheesh how could I!*

I love that medium... it can last for weeks. It gives me artistic free rein over what art work I wish to do. I teach classes on it localy.

My girl loves it.

Using some of the henna gilding techniques works well for that, too.  Right now I'm expirimenting with prosthetic adhesive & Ben Nye Lumiere powders for some fairly waterproof body art (will NOT stand up to scrubbing, but does moderately okay with gentle soap & water) that lasts about 18-20 hours.  I've had a lot of people asking for body art that will last the weekend, but can be removed when it's time to go to work.

Got2B hair glue mixed with pigment works fairly well.  A half & half mixture of Elmer's glue and water resistant megahold hair gel with pigments works pretty well.  Ben Nye, cosmetic grade mica, cosmetic grade glitters, and ground up cheap eyeshadows work well as pigments.

Sharpies & such last until one washes, then they fade pretty quick. Acrylic or Swarovski crystals can be glued on with spirit gum or eyelash glue.  There are some techniques with indigo that work fairly well, but are time intensive to apply and require lots of running water (paint, rinse, paint, rinse, paint, rinse... oy!)

I've seen acrylic paint used to good effect as well, but it tends to peel.

Henna, as Gwynvyd well knows, I'm sure, stains best on palms and soles of feet - I once had a henna client who's henna on the edges of her feet lasted 6-8 weeks!

Oh, and if you decide to work with glitter, either work outside, or put your glitter in some form of glue or adhesive, rather than powdering it over the top of tacky media.  Otherwise your home will look like Tinkerbell's meth lab exploded.

Henna.......beautiful.....I use it on my hair so it is always around and pure indigo also which creates blue black designs.....


also bruises especially bite marks....on the inside of the thighs if visibilty is going to be a problem...if not on the fleshy part of my arm like a bagde of honour....but hey it's not up to me where the mark goes......

I also love a cane wheal mmmmmmm as I can feel it's there but have to do a contortion trick to see it in the mirror..

I love to cut, I just love using scalpels.  I'm not the best artist and there are some symbols I want cut into family that I would love to learn how to do because my cuttings are basic with my letter.

I use sharpies-don't believe in permanent markings-at all. I don't do piercings either-guess I can't be "tribal"[:D]
