She's a brilliant lady.....I'm about 45 pages into '' Shock Doctrine''

Anyone....wanting to understand what ''neo-liberalism'' {and it' effects} is or, as SMC has mentioned on numerous, numerous occasions, a true understanding of Oligarchies /Oligopolies/Privatization schemes - I highly recommend this read.

PS - I was driving back from the gym tonight listening to how General Petreaus-- the commander in Iraq in charge of over 160k of US troops--- is being paid 180k a year and a little change - Yet a Blackwater supervisor in charge of 34 employees is earning over 400k!!

And here the Greeenspan sycophants are thinking we the tax payers are receiving a break because of these subversive privatization schemes.

You can always pick up Greenspan's new book, too - I hear there's a great ''fold-out'' cocksucking tutorial included in it. But hey....I know that's far from your style

That's true.
We have a seperation of Church and State in the U.S. and we also need a seperation of Business and State as well!
There are more "contractors" in Iraq than Troops!
And they're raping the U.S. Taxpayers for doing "Nation Building"!
And this isn't repairing "bomb damage" it's building hospitals, schools, roads, bridges and other infrastructure where there was none before! Hundreds of Billions of dollars!
They're making *enourmous* profits and we, the U.S. Taxpayers are being RIPED-OFF!
This wasn't part of the deal.
We need to start getting *ANGRY* in this country and start calling our Senators and Congressmen and tell them "No more money for Iraq!"

popeye, you have good insight as always, but a MORE important question is: Why are we rebuilding WHILE we're still fighting them?
They're willing to melt bombs INTO their own roads, hide terrorists in schools and hospitals, and generally pervert any "civilian" structure into a guerilla terrorist barricade. Why will these new structures be any different? Because they're more expensive is NOT a good answer, as Americans are paying the price (Both figuratively and literally). We've GIVEN Iraq back their oilfields, so there goes Bush's saying that "The proceeds from Iraqui oil will pay for the war".
I must separately question the "wisdom" of GIVING oil back to a government that has historically been our ally only so long as we were training and funding them, then turned their "skillz" (misspelling intentional) against US (Take that as either a pronoun or United States, abbreviation)!
Hell, even Turkey demanded an extra helping of graft for continued "permission" to fly through them--no offers of support, just "permission" of a country that we could easily turn INTO the world's largest airstrip, if we chose, but instead America paid their demands! The Arabs should (and probably already have) publish a book: "Extorting Americans for Fun and Profit"

...on one hand you decry illegal immigrants in the US, and then you seem to suggest that the US should just bully other countries into acquiesing to US interests? Have you no morality that isn't nationally biased?

We paid them once, with the understanding that it would be a one-time "deal"...Not counting the contribution just HAVING an American military base makes to the local economy. (Hint: It's more than illegals!)

You wouldn't be trying to suggest that Figurehead Greenspan's knees were perpetually red from servicing the PTB now, would you? ...
