All the time. Keeping in dating practice and being able to call on past women if I'm feeling lonely means that, no matter how intensely I care about a submissive, I have control. I can walk out the door and have a date within minutes; and even if I don't tell the sub that, I still have the confidence and assurance that that knowledge provides me, and trust me, women--and submissive women in particular--can feel that confidence a mile away. Unless I plan on getting married to the slave/submissive, she's never going to have exclusive rights to me. So I KNOW that the sub had better behave herself, and I KNOW that I won't put up with any crap. It's a good feeling, for both me and the sub. It also means that I won't act stupid or desperate towards her, that she can trust herself with me--because she knows that I'm with her because I actually prefer her and her submissiveness over other women, not because she's my only choice.

It all depends on how the person first knows me. Did we meet on Collarme or was this some chick I bumped into at class. If the person already knows that I'm into BDSM, then our first date can go either way. If the person has no idea that I would like to bind, spank, wax torture, ice cube, knife play, and shock them, then I would definitly start things off vanilla and express what I'm into. Either way, regardless of who I was with, most of my dates where vanilla. Most of my dates where always dinner, entertainment, and or a social gathering regarding church or a banquet. It was not untill we got back to my or there place that we did the kinky stuff.

I may be wrong but I think Innocent Young Sub is refering to how many times do you take your women to an S&M event, play party, or munch versus the usual pick up, dinner, show, walk, and drop off back home vannilla date.
