all your dom needs to do is hook up with others. you will probably find that once he has been out for a few beers with them, he will return with lots of new ideas and a better feel for his situation(grin).
i am making light here, but there is a grain of truth in this. association with others helps to set the mind.
also, the more submissive you behave, the more dominant he will become.

I have not observed this to be consistently true. In fact, I have known several situations where more submissive behavior was met with more passive behavior on the part of the erstwhile dominant.
