RumpusParable -> Electronics/Technology Fetish (10/2/2007 11:53:57 PM)

Haven't seen or heard others speak of this but am sure they are out there, so here's the thread to find them!

I've only one real fetish and that is technology.  I become sexually excited by upgrading the hardware in my computer or getting a larger-storage mp3 player for Christmas.  When my spouse gave me my first 120G harddrive (very large for the timeframe) I had to ravage him.

I sometimes wander computer stores comparing ram, harddrives, video cards, etc for my computer just to touch the boxes and read the specs.  Actually buying and upgrading my computer is intensely pleasurable.

So, anyone else find faster CPUs and more gigabytes arousing?

chellekitty -> RE: Electronics/Technology Fetish (10/2/2007 11:59:11 PM)

when i was 14, i got a computer of my very own that i got to put in my bedroom that had an AMD CPU clocked at 1.3 GHz...if i didn't get overheated at night, i would have had the thing in my bed with me...

iammachine -> RE: Electronics/Technology Fetish (10/3/2007 2:27:37 AM)

Nope, I don't get that at all! You're a freak!

*shifty eyes* [:D]

Tech itself doesn't get me going. I don't look at my laptop and think oh baby, yeah baby, RAM!

I do have a thing for cybernetics in a rather strictly fantasy sense. Being wired is hot, androids and cyborgs are nifty, the idea of cyberware is kinda neat but actual prosthetics aren't at all attractive to me. Geeks turn me on, being able to talk tech is hot but the tech itself isn't so much what gets me. :)

I have a flair for the dramatic, so I like the idea of flexing my sfx makeup-fu  and making my own little robot. There's something to be said about (temporarily) taking away someone's humanity in a D/s context. I'm bent on a human marionette puppet suspension scene, too.

oh, you're just taking baby steps........you need to build a recording studio then subscribe to all the industry mags that do monthly reviews on the latest/greatest gear to hit the market..........permanent boner

Mmm, that's more what i had in mind as well...

Actually, my "thing" is more along the lines of high-tech sex and torture... TENS programs and shock devices motion detectors and sensors, fucking machines, self-tightening bondage using air power and electronic valves, motorized CBT... Just designing it in my head is exciting.

i used to really enjoy doing PC upgrades, but it's gotten to the point lately where it's really hard to see enough of an improvement to justify the expense... and having my scratch-built acrylic, water-cooled rig fail miserably took a lot of wind out of my sails. [:o]

DocRudy -> RE: Electronics/Technology Fetish (10/3/2007 8:47:23 AM)

Not judging you based on what gets you off, but I personally don't understand this at all.

Using TENS units, "fucking machines", and stuff like that I can grasp, but it doesn't sound at all like what you're describing.

FRSguy -> RE: Electronics/Technology Fetish (10/3/2007 9:11:00 AM)

To some degree yes, If I teamed up with someone like yourself it would definatly turn into some really weird shit....LOL.  I never knew that there were actually other people out there that thought that way.  I'm not even going to explore it.  LOL

mnottertail -> RE: Electronics/Technology Fetish (10/3/2007 9:12:35 AM)

I think thats why there is an avatar out here ---

Will suck a mean cock for bandwidth

or something on that order, so you are so not alone.

i just had an orgasm...and now i want more...dammit...i don't have the money for that kind of stuff...or the space and i think my neighbors would kill me cause i wouldn't sound proof things properly...cause i like to share the wealth....can we say passive agressive musical sadism?

bipolarber -> RE: Electronics/Technology Fetish (10/3/2007 9:24:37 AM)

Well, I always have looked at G4's ATOS as soft core.... (Olivia Munn and Layla Kayliegh are the kind of women dreams are made of!)

I don't really find "tech" itself to be in the same leauge of paraphillia for me, as say, leather or rubber. But, considering the way computers are evolving, and the software is becoming more interactive, it's only a matter of time before tech becomes a viable kink. I think you're just a bit advant gaurde.

But the scocietal basis for compluters, robots, and other electronica to become a full fledged sexual alternate is definitely there. Our love, ans sexualization of the car can best be summed up in the current ad campaign for (I think) Lexus: "When you turn your car on, does it return the favor?" We lust for tech, and the expansion of our horizions it brings. (Anyone else notice that on all those "UFO" shows, they pretty much ignore the aliens themselves, and focus on what their "tech" is like?) The First Star Trek movie featured a six minute long pole dance of the Enterprise, while she was in spacedock, while Kirk was being taken over is a little shuttle pod... I wonder if he had to deposit tokens to keep the window up on the pod?) There is little doubt that we, and the Japanese get hard/wet at the idea of being technologically endowed. But it'd be a shame if cold plastic took the place of warm flesh, wouldn't it? ... wouldn't it?

chellekitty -> RE: Electronics/Technology Fetish (10/3/2007 9:26:53 AM)

it'd sure make cyber sex a lot more enjoyable though...

NastyDaddy -> RE: Electronics/Technology Fetish (10/3/2007 9:34:10 AM)

If you build it
they will cum

If you offer upgrades
they will cum again

...asta la' Bill Gates

FRSguy -> RE: Electronics/Technology Fetish (10/3/2007 9:47:40 AM)

Its the robotics that I love.  Interfacing every day electronic gadgets into a computer for control so that there is no control... thats what I love about it.

LuckyAlbatross -> RE: Electronics/Technology Fetish (10/3/2007 7:36:32 PM)

Well I asked for a graphics calculator every year starting when I was 12, finally got one when it was necessary for trig (and is now woefully obsolete).  I've always been a technophiliac, but not in a sexual or fetish sort of way.

CuriousLord -> RE: Electronics/Technology Fetish (10/3/2007 10:36:41 PM)

Well, I did have something of a geekasm when I got my TI-89 Titanium.

ladysekhmetka -> RE: Electronics/Technology Fetish (10/3/2007 10:55:26 PM)

Oh yeah baby!  Gimme a larger harddrive and a video card!  Mention of quadcore processors will result in me groping my own breasts!

Is it called technophilia?

littlesarbonn -> RE: Electronics/Technology Fetish (10/3/2007 11:21:43 PM)

Sounds great for you. Personally, I'd LOVE to be involved with a woman that got turned on my shopping for electronic stuff, cause I just love doing that myself, although it's more a lifestyle to me than it might ever be considered a fetish. I don't see myself getting turned on by shopping for electronic equipment, but that might change if I was hanging out with someone who did get turned on by it, but then my turn on would be the fact that she's getting turned on by something different, which kind of makes it a fetish of a fetish, I guess.

CuriousLord -> RE: Electronics/Technology Fetish (10/4/2007 1:22:46 AM)

Actually, you know what?  You need a sex doll.  A somewhat robotic one.  With transparent skin, so you can see all of the wiring and flashing LED's, along with the heat sinks and cooling fans, perhaps with a computerized display in the torso rapidly scrolling through the numerous command lines it's sending to the various.. pleasurable.. appendages it's employing.
