Sanity -> Handcuffed kids steal U.S. border agent car (9/27/2007 10:58:15 AM)

Three Mexican minors detained in California on suspicion of smuggling drugs stole a U.S. Border Patrol car while still wearing handcuffs and drove it back across the border to Mexico.

Police in the Mexican border city of Mexicali said on Tuesday the three boys had been driving a pick-up truck on a remote Californian highway when a Border Patrol agent stopped them.

Suspicious they were carrying marijuana, he handcuffed them and put them in his patrol car while he searched their truck.

"As the agent was doing his search, he left the vehicle running and the keys in the ignition, so one of the lads, still wearing handcuffs, grabbed the steering wheel and they headed back to Mexico," a police spokesman said.

The Border Patrol, which plays cat and mouse around the clock with illegal Mexican migrants and drug traffickers, confirmed the vehicle was stolen in southern California on Sunday and driven over the border near Mexicali.

Mexican police used a helicopter to locate the patrol vehicle in a remote agricultural area near the border.

"Security" along that border is a joke.
This is why it needs to be completely double fenced, mined and Troops need to be stationed along the entire length of it.
We have anti-personel mines along S. Korea and they are *extremely effective*!
They're also humane. If you don't walk in those areas you won't *ever* have to worry about getting blown up.
And they take away that stupid argument about the "10 foot fence and an 11 foot ladder."
Not with minefields!
This is the reason that Hillary Clinton will be defeated in Nov of 2008.
I wonder if she thought about that in the minutes leading up to her "yes" vote on that Bush/McCain/Kennedy "amnesty" fiasco?
You can't *ever* trust her to do the right thing for this country.

Landmines....Good God.

Monsanto and EDM,won`t make much of a profit,if their laborers are missing legs and arms. Now will they?

Good lord!

Ya know, I was gonna post something questioning if this was supposed to be proof mexicans should all be shot or something.  Somehow I knew our 'friend' would weigh in.  <shakes head>

I cannot even bring myself to discuss the idea of landmines...  but... a FENCE?  That has got to be the stupidest thing ever dreamed up.  ...and so attractive, too.

<sigh>

I wonder how much of the cop car actually got back across the boarder.
Lets see what they may have gotten.
1 12 gauge Winchester pump with one box of slugs and one box of 00
1 .223 Ruger carbine with one box of hollow points.
1 hi performance engine and trans.
2 spot lights.
1 low profile light bar.
1 computer for said engine.
1 spike strip.
1 police computer terminal with access to the data base.
2 very nice UHF cop radios and affiliated antenna.
5 puncture proof radial tires.
1 hold out pistol in a concealed holster under the drivers seat.
1 key to every boarder patrol car in that sector since they key them all alike.
I will bet a dollar that the handcuff key was on the ignition key ring.

Yeah, you know, the litle fuckers remind me of me, when I was a kid. That's one red-faced cop.

I used to be able to slip my handcuffed hands from in back of me to my front by slipping them under my feet, but I tried that a week ago for fun, and I couldn't do it. I'm just not limber enough anymore, and I don't know if I can get that flexibility back by working at it or not.

But those kidsd in that article, they've got some bragging rights for sure.

kids are kids, japanese, mexican, russian, whatever........

things like this kinda help you feel that there is hope for the world and that the next generation still has a little of what it takes to survive in the wilds of our terra firma.

Yeah thompson, if the kids didn't strip that car you can safely bet that the Mexican police did!

Make it three. I'm with popeye on this issue. If we're gonna have a border then enforce it, otherwise it's meaningless.

BUT, if land-mines are so "effective", then troops along the border would be at best redundant, at worst, providing target-practice and grand-theft-auto practice for these "hardworking" breeders...
In sum:
Immigrants and immigrants' children are good, they are welcome and the bring with them good things.
Illegals and illegals' children bring crime, diseases, abuse, and bitterness that lasts longer than their generation.

MsBearlee -> RE: Handcuffed kids steal U.S. border agent car (9/27/2007 12:57:44 PM)

Sanity, I'm not talking about managing our boarders... I'm talking about managing our boarders with fences and land mines.

<shakes head>

Edited to add I see our little bundle of joy is back.

Nations have borders for a reason. Enforce it.

We definitely need to put the military on the border. These traffikers have military-level arms and ammunition. Pull our boys out of Iraq and put them on the southern border... we need to put an end to these cartels once and for all. If Mexico won't end it, we will end it ourselves.

Ron

A friend of mine and I egged a police station once, and all the cars there when I was fifteen. We then screamed profanities at the cops when they came out to see who had just egged their front door. Soon, the whole police force was chasing us, but we got away on foot.

When I was about 22 I left about ten feet of rubber on the floor of a police impound garage - I was doing a LOT of Bacardi 151 and some powerful LSD on that particular day. They put me in my car in their garage, even though I was messed up as hell... I floored it, dropped the clutch as soon as the garage door was opened enough, and flew out of there blasting "Highway To Hell" on my really nice car stereo. They caught me, gave me a fist-full of tickets and then let me go again.

Bastards... LOL

It was nice being young, and bullet proof. At least, having that impression.
