What's going on here is that OJ has a $33 million dollar wrongful death settlement against him. So he cannot legally make any money. If he does the government will take it and give it to the Goldman and Brown's family. He doesn't want that to happen. But he also wants money. He wants that lavish lifestyle and that NFL pension isn't quite enough for him. So the only way he can make money is by doing underground criminal activities. He sells stolen satilite signals. He makes sex tapes. His friends are some very shady people and practically all of them have criminal records. So even if OJ gets out of these current charges it wont be long until he's found himself in more hot water. Eventually his luck is going to run out.
