For your consideration.  I would like to stress that this is purely hypothetical!

Let's say that one day when you're bored, you go to the other side and search profiles from your area, just for fun. And you spot a profile from someone that you know personally and that you know is not 18.

What do you do?  Do you do anything at all?

I'm not certain this is the right forum for this so Mods, move it if you must.

I'd talk to the person first.

Then we'd have a nice long chat about what exactly they're thinking, and why it's inappropriate for them to be here.

Definitely tell someone in charge and present your evidence. Stuff like that can get a site shut down because someone was stupid...

I've done that and nothing about me comes up at all

As for the underaged person, I'd inform the site moderators immediately. Not aonly are you protecting the site but any unsuspecting person that might talk to the underaged person with out knowing.

What evidence would one site?  I mean, you could just be having a tiff with a young looking member too.

Without a doubt...report it. You not only protect the person who is under 18, you protect those who may converse with them and not know they are underage.

Maybe so, but age isn't something they take lightly in sites like this one.  Just report it with the information you personally have, then let them make the call and decide whether or not to investigate further.  At least you did what you could, within the TOS.

I look at it this way…if it were your young daughter or son  would you want to know. If you would… then somehow inform the parents or parent. If you do not want to get involved with the parents I would at least inform the site administrator.

Definitely report it.  It's not just an issue of the site being culpable for something like that--but it's a matter of safety for anyone who does interact with them and for they themselves.  I'll be honest--I was having tons of sex at a young age, and that was without benefits of a site like this.  Goodness only knows the damage that could happen to a person if they did not know what they were doing.

If you know their parents tell their parents. report it to the site...most adult personals sites have a reporting feature.

I am with the turn them in group. Someone might be talking to the person, and get in big trouble because of it. I was on another site once and was talking to someone who came out as way under age after a couple weeks. I was in the clear though, because when I message anyone it is to make friends, not to date them or get them into bed. I believe that things should happen naturally if at all possible. So I had been talking with this girl as just someone to chat with, and had from the first conversation knew it would never be more than that. My other rule is that I never mention anything sexual unless it is brought up to me first. So nothing inappropriate had come of the conversation. I didn't do anything, because the day she told me she also deleted her profile. It could have turned out a lot worse. We were on messenger at that point, and we chatted for a few more weeks, I was just really careful not to mention anything inappropriate. Had I been a lot of other people I could have ended up in a real bad place. So to save others, if nothing else, you need to report them.
