While I've heard this quote in French, I think, more often than not the Latin is the preferred quotation: "Cogito ergo sum"

Sure...after a few decades.  Easy to say you're on an even keel, but don't downplay what you went through to get there!  [Appreciated the post by the way, Michael.]
