i am wondering if there are any actual Female dominant communities, communes? Does anyone know if this has ever been tried. We know of the religious cults and hippie communes, so why not a community led by Women and serviced by their submissive women and men?
Are there people who would like to live in such a place if it existed?

I looked into going a couple of years ago but didn't have the time. I do believe there are a few male subs on collarme that have served there.

I would like to live in such a place. I've often thought if I hit the megamillions I'd buy some land and start a small femdom community. Perhaps one day <crosses fingers>

I only know of the O.W.K., and got an email some time ago about a group in CA that allows men (for a fee) to show up for specified amounts of time, and serve, but can't find the email.
I wouldn't desire to live in a commune, because I have a large family and many people in other countries I relate with, who wouldn't feel comfortable visiting me in a place that was too far out of mainstream...  While I know how I'd expect my submissive/slave to behave in public, I also know there are plenty of fem dommes who are very much overt about how theirs subs/slaves should behave at all times.   M

I'd jump at a chance. i used to live in Calif there was quite a few joints that specialize in female Dom's, but not in the sense this track was going.

i just visited the O.W.K. website, and it seems like a great place, though more of a for profit destination. Certainly there is nothing wrong with that, but i am hoping to hear about actual places to live where women are running things.
It would be easy to imagine somewhere, perhaps in the southwestern USA, where there might be a few homes together, that could house several Dominant Women and their submissives. The rules and governance would of course be set by the women.
i don't know how such a place would get started, but somehow the cults find themselves places to live together. It is just something i've been wondering about. Residents might do whatever they do now to earn their living, maybe contributing a certain amount to a common pool, its use determined by the Female residents.

Can't say that I have heard anything about any female dominant communes, but I'm sure there are people would love it. Might be hard to figure out who makes the final decisions regarding the community though. [:)]

The governance of the community could probably be along the lines of a cooperative corporation.  Co-op boards are granted extensive powers, at least here in New York.  Because they are limited corporations, they can limit things like who can buy shares, and approve or reject applications by existing shareholders who want to sell their shares.   There would be by-laws, which can be lifted from almost any existing co-op corporation, and modified to meet the specific requirements of this particular co-op.

If only Dommes formed the corporation and constituted the first Board of Directors, they could ensure that in the future, only Dommes could own shares, be elected to the Board of Directors, vote for Directors, etc.  From there, the Board of Directors, elected annually, makes all policy decisions that bind all the shareholders.  Any "profits" generated by the corporation would be distributed to shareholders annually, or used to reduce the following year's maintenance fees.

It's a pleasant fantasy, but it is attainable.  For economic reasons, the commune would have to be near a city large enough to employ the commune's residents, or the residents would have to be able to "home office" their jobs.  Shares could be bought and sold by Dommes who want to join or leave the group.  A monthly co-op fee could be assessed to shareholders to maintain common property...like the dungeon.
