MasterLF -> Help! My ass is on fire!! (9/14/2007 12:30:26 PM)

OK so i have this new butt plug... its sort of peach in color and its sort of clear with little bubbles inside. It was new so I washed it off well and proceded to apply it to my sensitive area down there and as soon as it touched my anus WOW! fire fire fire! it feels as if there is some sort of chemical on it such as "icey hot". It burns. It feels this way every time but there does not seem to be any after efects more than a few minutes. No rash or any such thing... so im just wondering, whats the deal with that? thanks.

Is it rubber or jely?

Jelly toys can irritate mucus membrains like our butts.

celticlord2112 -> RE: Help! My ass is on fire!! (9/14/2007 12:54:52 PM)

what did you wash it off with?  and did you rinse it THOROUGHLY?

Something is irritating the mucosa down there.  That could be a remnant of whatever soap/detergent you used to clean the plug....or the material of the plug itself is an irritant.

If the material will tolerate it, a thorough rinse in an isotonic saline solution might help.  Rinse with rubbing alcohol first to help sterilize, then the saline rinse to neutralize any foreign substances that might irritate.

(warning...saline solutions can break down certain materials...do the homework on that before you try it.  Could save a toy! [;)])

This has happened to me with jelly toys.  I assumed I was allergic.  Instant burning wherever it touched me.  I threw them all out and won't buy any kind of jelly toy again.

MistressSassy66 -> RE: Help! My ass is on fire!! (9/14/2007 1:18:45 PM)

After  making sure its cleaned well and sanitized and you still get that feeling.
From My own experinces it can be the rubber or the gel type dildos.

A solution to this is to use a non latex condom. If you have a bit of pain with rubber or gel toys you could be allergic to latex, commonly found in sex toys.

The other thing can actually be the lube your using.
I always use the surgical sterile lube and have had no problems.

Newark, NJ:  Associated Press   Representatives of the sex toy manufacturing industry today released a statement confirming that they have no idea why there has been an incredible increase of the numbers of "jelly style" butt plugs and dildoes purchased in the New York - New Jersey - Pennsylvania area.  Robert Yeruncle, trade press representative of the Sex Toy and Object Manufacturing Project (STOMP) stated today "We don't get it.  Sometime Friday afternoon, for reasons we can't explain, there was a run on jelly toys.  Virtually EVERY dildo, butt-plug, anal probe and other protruding sex toy made of plastic jelly has been purchased.  It is almost like someone or something has HUGE plans to use them on some poor unsuspecting wench this weekend."

I just washed it with warm/hot water... im sure its "jelly" and I think its the plug itself causing the pain... but hey I am a MFPSFH and a SM so I think Ill keep burning for a while, I just thought I would share this pain in my ass...

MizzElle -> RE: Help! My ass is on fire!! (9/14/2007 2:49:19 PM)

Yep, sounds like its the material. I'd use a condom with it, I'm not sure if there are any possible side effects from using these products if you have an allergy.
Anyone know?

YourhandMyAss -> RE: Help! My ass is on fire!! (9/14/2007 4:47:14 PM)

Jelly toy's have chemicals in them that leach out into the skin, and prolonged use of something that your mucosa don't like, IE the jelly probably could cause medical damamge, however I'm not a dr  or a nurse so I'm not qualified to say, however there are nurses on the boards, maybe one of them will chime in.

LATEXBABY64 -> RE: Help! My ass is on fire!! (9/14/2007 4:53:29 PM)

sounds like a virign butt to me lol. some people are allergic to latex or plastic

YourhandMyAss -> RE: Help! My ass is on fire!! (9/14/2007 6:14:55 PM)

latex, it don't matter if your butts been used a thoughsand times or is brand new toys that irritate your mucosa, don't care if you're a new ass or an old well used ass.

LATEXBABY64 -> RE: Help! My ass is on fire!! (9/14/2007 6:20:06 PM)

something about a thousand times just dose not sound good

I'm not a doc either...I am however open with My doc.
I have a slight allergy to latex, rubber, the plastic tape they use in hospitals(that stuff immediatly causes a rash and it gets itching, now they use whats called paper tape.) My medical file lists the above as an allergies, just in case.
From what she(doc) has told Me continued contact could cause a full blown
allergic reaction which could actually kill Me.
Anaphalatic shock is not anything you want happening.
So from what My doc says...I would cover that toy with non latex condoms.

Thats just Me though.

On a lighter note...have you used ice to cool it down...lol

Silicone costs more-but better all round.

YourhandMyAss -> RE: Help! My ass is on fire!! (9/15/2007 12:21:37 AM)

Thanks for passing on what your dr said. I had a jelly toy and the minute it touched me it burned so I put it away and never used it ,and a rubber toy I have gives me vaginal tears every time I use it, so that toy gets a condom put on it, plus it's supposed to be a toy that can "cum" so it's just more sanitary to put a condom on cause you can't quite clean the entire cum tube.

Ahh, that's why I avoid the jelly toys. I bet you can smell it off-gassing. That's oxidation, and those chemicals can irritate the mucosa in the nasal cavity as well as irritate the lungs.

I also avoid cyber skin toys, the material fissures (cracks) and also reacts if left in contact with other toys. I just know that all manner of antagonists can set up shop in those fissures.

I love the tempered glass (like Pyrex) toys which are perfectly non-porous! Easy to clean, just toss into the dish washer. Plus, you can heat or cool them, and nothing is as smooth as glass. Silicone is very inert, and easy to clean. Silicone toys cost a tad more but last, and again they clean up well.

MaDom Aura

The last thing I want to do is hurt you, but it's still on my list.

kikinymph -> RE: Help! My ass is on fire!! (9/15/2007 5:28:53 AM)

As my Owner says, "If I want it to hurt, I'll let you know!"  Okay, so for now, M.LF, you are gonna take the discomfort/pain.  What are ya gonna do later?  Just in case it is an allergy?  My doctor, too, has suggested that i treat my latex reactions as mild allergic reactions, and avoid them in the future.  Too much exposure could lead to a life threatening reaction--and while some joke about the timing and it being "what a way to go" when we are doing intimate play... it's  not  so great when you get brushed up by a balloon, or latex gloves!

There are polyurethane condoms, and there are lambskin, or "natural" condoms.  Polyurethane condoms protrect against pregnancy and std's, but are thinner, and can tear easier than latex...use a bit more water based lube.  Natural condoms don't always protect against std's.  So do be cautious in using them with a partner.
I love the one pyrex toy we have, and for all the other toys?  We use condoms, just to be on the safe side.

When using a new toy for anal play the 1st time.  I suggest that you clean it very well with the juice from ginger root.  If you can not find that then tiger blam makes a great cleaner aswell.

Eric

I know that was wrong but if someone is
dumb enought to try it ill enjoy the laugh

MasterLF -> RE: Help! My ass is on fire!! (9/15/2007 6:03:29 PM)

thanks to all for your answers,  a virgin butt... LM virgin AO...  i think i will use a condom with it next time to avoid a more serious reaction later, as i do not and have never had any negative reaction to condoms of any kind...
