I would really love to become aquainted with some sub/slave females in the Las Vegas area who would chat with me and share information about the area, the lifestyle and the cost of living and such.  I would really appreciate any help I could get.

Thanks

Heh, lets just say the cost of living is quite a bit more then you might expect.

Can't be more than NJ.  Costs a fortune to live here.

But I hear that property values are falling like a rock. Is this accurate?

I don't strip in public anyway so the pasties don't bother me.  I hope they don't irritate my sub, when and if I find one.

Can't help you with finding a sub lady - you are on your own there!

As far as cost-of-living, we are almost exactly middle of the road - nowhere near as expensive as CA or HI, a good deal more expensive than IA or NE.  Housing is relatively affordable, the bubble has pretty much burst.  Property taxes are quite low, and we have no personal income tax.  Gas - well, that's bad here, but it pretty much is everywhere.  Electric rates are horrible due to the desperate need for A/C.  Food - about middle of the road, but keep in mind you will never get a good tomato or ear of corn here - no farm stands like New England!  We have a lot of entertainment options, of course, with special deals for locals if you know where to look, and wonderful restaurants.  And pretty much everything is open 24/7, a bonus if you are a night owl type of person.  The job market is booming, but you have to be willing to put in your dues to prove to an employer you plan to stay.  If you are either independently wealthy (best option!) or willing to work hard, it is a great place to live.  Oh yeah, and it gets HOT in summer - but you will no longer need a crowbar to smash ice out of your driveway!

at times ild like to live somewhere warm. but in most cases the illusion is just that. my brother almost moved there. the housing prices were quite high. IMO a gamble for a town that isnt sure where it is going. any work in his field is largely taken up by illegal aliens and he wont work for that type of wage. therefore he is staying in Chicago. where he can make a buck.

I would live in Chicago, unfortunately, I believe in the entire bill of rights, not just select portions of it.  I have no interest in either living in or visiting the People's Republic of Illinois.

i better mention there is an element of crime to hit Vegas. the 3 strikes and your out thugs make their way to Vegas- as it is a different state and they wont go to jail if they hit #3.

as per real estate be prepared for impact and other fees- they can be bewildering to someone from the east coast.

the job market is hot i understand.

Not sure what you mean by "impact fees" - do you mean SIDs? Special Improvement Districts are why we have roads & fire stations in the expanded parts of town; it is only fair that people who live in the new sections have to pay for the buildup of services, and yes, I live in a new part of town.  Our taxes are otherwise so low, you really can't quarrel with it.  Our house is 4 times the size of my in-laws' in NJ, on triple the lot size, and our property taxes are about 1/3 of what they pay.

Not everyone likes it here, that's for sure.  Like anyplace, there is good & bad.  To me, the benefits far outweigh the negatives.

i went out to Las Vegas once for about a week  in May - you really have to like HOT to survive there.  i don't drink a lot of water normally and i could not drink enough when i was out and about.  Aslo, everywhere, everyplace has those damn slot machines - that noise would send me to a loony bin if i had to stay there indefinately lol.  i will keep my north east colorful, crisp fall days and cold as hell snow bound winters

i think the idea was to pay part of infastructure. believe you me- the folks in the poconos could have used that law here in PA.  All I am saying is to expect this when purchasing a home. Most areas in teh east dont have this fee. tho as i say the folks in the poconos could have used it big time.

i tried to get that fee here in central pa- as we have a 20 year plan. my comments tho are limited to air traffric and air quality. as per my reply.

i wish i could be somewhere warm Jan Feb March.

in no way am i bad mouthing your town.  especially when i think of what my heat will cost here just to stay alive over the winter!

hugs

PS- there is alot of places i cant live due to my income and teh cost of living. basically i am ?stuck in a small town. and thats fine. i noticed many in chicago cant retire they work till they drop dead.

portions of the east have astounding taxes!!!

it all trickles down. they move here from New Jersey and want the same services as tehy have in NJ- which cost money. the pocanos once a nice area- the folks that buildt it many run out of town as tehy are no longer able to afford the taxes to build infastructure for the influx-
