I thought that once someone had stated they were guilty, that legally it was difficult to not prosecute them, unless they made the statement when they were either incompetent, or under duress (forced). Since he was neither, I am wondering how this is gonna work (has he said how?) I don't understand. Did he claim he was "not of sound mind" when he was in this bathroom? I don't care if he is Gay, Bi, Het, or a Druid Zulu warrior - but if I am wandering the airport with my aged uncle, for example, and he stops in the airport men's bathroom, I don't think he necessarily needs to be exposed to anyone cruising for sex. What people want to do in hotel and motel rooms, or their own home, is their business. Maybe it was a set-up - I have no idea. it seems like it is being made to look that way. I kinda feel badly for his wife (and both of them actually) if it is a set-up or a "sting operation gone wrong" Sometimes I do wonder, why we as a society are focussing so much on what other people do re: Their sex lives - my comments about not wanting my loved ones to be exposed to people cruising for sex not withstanding. It's not like the world doesn't have bigger problems (Pedophilia being an exception). This entire episode strikes me as being in the rather "small potatoes" category in general, as far as catching hardened criminals goes, on the part of law enforcement. I mean - aren't there any "bigger crime" types of happenings going on in the area? Drug pushers? Kidnappers? Rapists or burglers? Serial killers? Not enough for police to do? Whatever happened to police just stopping in at Dunkin' Donuts for coffee and staying there for hours? As far as him voting for an anti-Gay marriage bill - well, he was elected to represent his constituents, not his own political POV. So even if he's gay, if that is what his constituents want as far as this bill goes, then I guess it would make sense (to me) he voted the way he did. I am opposed to such a bill, and I think it's discriminatory (but I can understand why he voted for it if his constituency is very conservative. The same thing happens in my state, an unfortunately very conservative state). - Susan
