GhitaAmati -> Non-hormonal tips for shortening a menstrual cycle (9/10/2007 10:35:14 AM)
I know there are certain forms of birth control out there that supposedly shorten the bleeding time down to about 3 days, but I already have an IUD insterted (Mirena) and have had it for right at a year now. Does anyone know if there are any other old wives tales that actually work about shortening the amount of time spent bleeding each month? My period typically lasts 10-12 days, pretty heavy with massive dont touch me cramps and rather irritable and weepy mood swings......any info would be helpful! Thanks

Try evening primrose oil, you can get it at your local health food or all natural store, even online. It works wonders for length of period, mood swings and cramps. You take it daily it may be two months before you notice a substantial differnce!! HTH
