That's it! We can all wear snowman jammies to identify that we are all in this together.

I will support this snowman jammie movement!

Penguins? With ice-skates?

Torn... between... the... cuteness!

SweetDommes -> RE: Symbols (9/6/2007 7:25:07 AM)

lmao - they are quite faded by now ... and too big for me now that I've lost weight - but I'll try to remember to get a pic of them for you sometime [;)]  They are awfully cute. [:D]

It's ok, I don't either. I only wear them to keep warm while hanging around the house. [:)]

Dnomyar -> RE: Symbols (9/6/2007 7:36:57 AM)

While reading another post identifying symbols were brought up. I think it would be a great ideal if we had some type of symbol to wear that would tell someone that we were into the lifestyle. The downside is that once the word got out about the symbol then everyone would know what it ment. Like the rainbow pins a while back. So how about some kind of hand signal. The one with the middle finger extended would not work.

I sort of like the idea of branding on the legs or arms somewhere; but then that's just me [8D]

Elegant -> RE: Symbols (9/6/2007 8:36:21 AM)

OK..I got it covered now..

My plan is to wear snowman jammie bottoms and penguins on ice skates jammie top. Those will not completly cover my triskle and leather pride flag tattoos. I'll also wear a triskle pin on the lapel of the jammies and flag my fav colors from the pocket of the jammie pants. My finger will be adorned with my O ring. I'll always walk around signing the letters 'B' 'D' 'S' 'M' with flying fingers and carry a blowtorch in my left hand.

Oh....and I'll be wearing my locked collar.

you engage in bdsm with random teddy bears?

Does smothering my teddy bear between my boobs count?

Or flagging?  Why make a whole new system when one's already in place?

Come on LA join the snowman jammie movement!

Were I to flag, I'd look like a suedehead...

I'm not a suedehead. Can't stand most ska. Don't ride a Vespa. Sorry, but no...

LA (and others are right) there are already symbols (and flags)in place, Flagging was probably one of the first (don't quote me). O Rings are great symbols and Tony DeBlase made the (BDSM) Pride symbol, flag and their are variations on it that look great on a car (It's great to be driving and seeing the pride symbol/flag).

The best "symbol" is hanging out with leatherfolk.

AlexanderC -> RE: Symbols (9/6/2007 11:56:49 AM)

What are "O" rings?

stef -> RE: Symbols (9/6/2007 12:04:17 PM)

They were described in the book 'The Story of O.'  Here is an example.

......So how about some kind of hand signal.

Reminds me of the masons..or Klingons.

Oooh, I just found my late grandfather's fez (he was a mason) - maybe I can put my Triskele pin on that and let everyone know I am a 32nd degree Domme! [;)]

Only if you are also wearing snowman or penguin jammies too.

Were I to flag, I'd look like a suedehead with an orange shoprag sticking out my pants......

I'm not a suedehead. Can't stand most ska, especially not Trojan. Don't ride a Vespa. Sorry, but no...

How about this for a hand signal: Hold your hand out horizontally, fingers together and palm slightly cupped, then bring it smatrly into contact with the posterior region of the "signalee".
