LaTigresse -> RE: Could anorexia be a rational life choice? (9/4/2007 10:47:08 AM)

Thank you leatherette.

After someone special to you dies from something we all see as, somewhat preventable, you have so many mixed feelings. Anger, frustration, guilt, just so many things. Constantly, at least for me, "What could I have done different? How could I have helped her?"

The reality is that the seed was sown long before I knew her. It was her choice to nurture it or take a different life path. I don't blame her, I don't think she was strong enough to overcome her many obstacles. Though she would surely argue that with me. She was very intelligent and to the world, very self assured and confident. Not many were aware of her secret demons and some that knew her, even fueled them. I have accepted that I could not change everything for her and just try to remember all the wonderful stuff.

All I can say is that for anyone to encourage anorexia, for any reason, is just pure insanity. To even consider it, only tells me that they are clueless to the many facets of the health issues. As said already, it's not about being cute and skinny at all.

I don't want to go as far as dying or anything but is it possable to "get" anorexia for like a month or so to lose weight?
To like, "use" it to lose weight?
How would one go about "getting" it for a short time?
I'm just wondering if that's possable.

Tigresse, I was just looking for an "easy" way to lose weight.
I'm really not that much overweight, just a bit of a gut but I thought there might be an easier way to do it than signing up at the gym again for another year!
I let my membership expire in March and got lazy.
Oh well, I'll sign up again this week.

You are welcome LaTigresse. I do admire you.

Popeye - don't you think it would be simpler to get back to your excercise than to develop deep emotional problems? [;)]

Leatherette, no, I don't want emotional problems, just a bit of Anorexia to get rid of the gut.
You know, like to "harness" the benefits.
A little Priapism could come in handy once in a while too!
I was watching one of those Cialis commercials and it said if you, "have an erection lasting more than 4 hours call a Doctor."
Shit! a Doctor is the LAST person I'd be calling!
I'd be thanking God!
I'd be going through the Yellow Pages calling up Hookers from escort services!
"GET THE FUCK OVER HERE!!!"
Where some see a "medical problem" I see OPPORTUNITY!

Ya know Popeye... you do make some interesting points!

popeye1250 -> RE: Could anorexia be a rational life choice? (9/4/2007 11:17:42 PM)

Leatherette, of course!
The old, "when they give you lemons make lemonade" school of thought.
If they can't "cure" a disease then just "use" another disease to get rid of it.

luckydog1 -> RE: Could anorexia be a rational life choice? (9/5/2007 12:32:29 AM)

Popeye, you would just simply use your dommly powers to eat very little and lose weight.  I have read they have done low calorie diets for animals and find they do live longer, weaker and less active but a longer life.  Anorexia is by definition a mental issue and not rational.  High will power and taking care of ones self (even to an ultra thin look)is not anorexia.  Compare a submissive to a crack whore, both have a D/S dynamic, but are not the same thing
