Hello to all here at CM!
 
I have missed being here and need to catch up on the boards.
 
I am finally in the home I will be living in probably until Spring.
It's a very nice, big house and I am truly grateful that my niece has grasciously opened it up to us after the fire and we can stay until everything is figured out.
 
My computer was not fried from the lightning blast and I got hooked up to the net today. My cats have been cremated and my nephew is holding on to them for me until I can find some nice little boxes and I can handle taking them into my posession emotionally.
 
After we  moved in one of my best friends brought 2 new little girl kittens to me, OMG they are sooooo damn cute and have really lifted my spirits. I will be putting up some pic's as soon as I can grab some spare time on my 360 page.
 
These last 2 weeks have been the hardest in my life to endure. Sifting through the fire remains and salvaging and cleaning my treasures that have survived and grieving when I remeber something that I lost, along with moving and taking care of everyday life has been extremely emotionally and physically exhausting[:(].
 
It has also been a very spiritually moving experience that is beyond human words.
 
I obviously will be very busy for awhile but now that my PC is up and running again I hope to pop in and enjoy the boards too. I need to have some of my old life connections back to help me maintain my sanity.
 
Hope everyone is doing well and I look forward to coming and reading up on whats been going on.

Many hugs to you Missy. I've missed you and am glad to see things are working out as well as anyone could hope. It sounds as though you have a wonderful family/friend network. That is a treasure during difficult times. It is wonderful to see you back.

Today is the first day since the 13th of August, that I am just
going to allow myself to kick back and have a day of goofing off
[sm=biggrin.gif]and resting[sm=sleepy.gif].
My back is killing me but progress is being made[sm=applause.gif].
 
I have missed everyone here too and will hopefully allow myself the
time to pop in and have some laughs, it is very good for me to come here
and read familar words and feel  that connection, so many of you have engaged
a special space in my heart and it is comforting to read your posts.
 
Well I am off to do some goofing off and resting after...lol.

Thank you for the update.
I am glad you are settled, and you are fortunate to have
such a sweet and special niece.
Aunties are such special people.[;)]
I can not imagine the emotional toll that having to salvage through
your precious belongings was like.  I hope you were able to save a lot
of precious pictures, and or get copies from other family members.
I can't wait to see the kittens, I am considering getting one myself.
I am so glad you are settled in Missy, hopefully everthing is going to get
a lot better now.

Well my son has moved his things into the upstairs space, so we are all back together again![:)]
 
Have to go back to the old house and do some sifting[:o], grab some more things to clean and get the BBQ grills, Not too mant more days to be out grilling.
 
Geesh, going back and sifting through the rubble and insulation sure is a depressing thing to do, but there are glimmers of light when I run across something that I thought had been destroyed[:)][;)].
 
Hope you all are having a wonderful Tuesday and had a great holiday weekend. I spent mine planting fall flowers here at the new house out in front, helps it feel more like home.

Ya know?... When I go back to the "fire" house I start having feelings of dred
about a special thing I will think about that I will realize is gone and I get very anxious. Then I will go in and look around and find something special that survived, it happens almost everytime and It lifts my spirits while also being encouraging[:)].
 
This kind of situation really helps you to put posessions{things} in perspective and what kind of importance your going to give to them, for I have found if you give too much, they can almost hold you for hostage{in a sense}. It also has taught me how freeing not having TMS {Too Much Shit} can be[:D].
 
I was at the house yesterday and got some of my artistic supplies and looked around at all my Photography and Art on the walls, thank goodness they are most behind glass because the front of the glass is black from the smoke[:-], but I have taken a couple down and wiped them clean and the art underneath on most of them are just fine[:)].
 
Hope everyone is having a great Wednesday, it's really hot here in Minneapolis, it's supposed to storm[sm=hewah.gif] and cool off though and then be very cool and comfortable. I am looking forward to some cooler weather to get things done at the old house.
