ORIGINAL: TheHeretic Well, if you saw it on a website, it must be true . It's a counter-culture festival. Art and artists and are certainly a big part of it, but so are radical environmentalists, anarchists and lots of smelly hippies. I've never been (it's on my list) but it is nowhere near a Thomas Kinkade exibition. The radicals the Heretic might be referring to,are the ones that burn down new housing developments, car dealerships, etc. Not for nothing, there is a tiny, but super radical left wing movement, that doesn`t represent the normal,enviro-friendly American. Some of these groups, make Peta look like kindergartners. But,they aren`t at Burning Man.There are no doubt,anti-globalization booths,a Peta booth,go-vegetarian booths,anti-war,and political booths of every kind, accept maybe the Collage Republicans. There might even be a CollarMe tent, lol. These are the beautiful people, the peace lovers, the music heads and jam-band goers, the Phish heads and ravers.Artists and spiritual healers, massage therapists, new age/holistic healers and practitioners, weavers and musical instrument makers.Tattoo artists, and piercing/body modification people too. And also, the alternate lifestylers like us are there.Cross dressers, freaks, naked chicks w/ total body paint,a lot of nudists and sun worshipers. All that aside, the festival goers are making lemon-aid ,out of lemons, and rebuilding the Burning Man ever better than before, and more wild. They got the wood, and everyone`s pitching in ,and now it`s a party.lol
